I will always prefer either Tata or Mahindra. I am using Tata Harrier and XUV 500 and Tata Altroz. Fully satisfied. Great Indian car makers. Most of my known people adwised me to go for either Carens or Hector, thank god I chose Harrier. Learn from Koreans, they buy local products strictly, making their country one of richest nations. Alas we in India are still not out of colonial mindset, especially the neo rich class public abhor Indian products and find pride in foreign products purchases.
Not taking MG's side but hydro locking is really a big damn problem and it does take time to be fixed, most of the time the whole engine has to be replaced. Even Big brands cars can get hydro locked. Though this is a suv but it doesn't come with a snorkel, while all vehicles have vents to eradicate large volumes of water near the intake system, driving through high waters can lead to high volumes of water entering the engine. Again, not taking MG's side, I didn't even consider it while choosing in between xuv700 and harrier :).
MG is crap..but main issue is whether in same condition of high water intake does Mahindra or Tata have same issues of hydrolocking and if Y, how is the service experience then.???
Its quite simple you know.. people own cars they like.. you own an XUV.. and I own the hector. Both have their own pros and cons.. but honestly, the question for mileage goes out of the equation the moment one chooses petrol for an SUV. My car is wayy too new for comments and is giving me an average of 7.5, but my cousin has driven more 8000 on cvt and is getting a daily average of 9-10.. and that is more than what you can expect for car this size and weight.. Xuv itself is an excellent product. The only issue my family has faced is with the horrible after sales service.. So, in the end it is all about enjoying the car you own..
I also own the same model but I haven't faced any major issues till now. Plus the dealer team in my city is so quick and solution-oriented. I'm happy with my decision of buying this.
I own xuv700 petrol manual. These two vehicles are not comparable, xuv700 has buttery smooth engine and 200hp, perfect ADAS, and gives me 7-10 kmpl in City and 10-15 kmpl on Highway, with heavy and light foot respectively.
I had booked Hector Plus Savvy Pro but ended up buying Nexon EV max. The Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid has 3 cylinder engine. It makes lots of noise. Only suitable for driving at low speeds in city.
i have a hector plus manual hybrid it gives mileage of minimum 10kmpl in city and 15-16 on highway even with rough driving the problem with service i think is with the specific dealer i suppose because my experience has been excellent

Mene bhi MG liyi thi but after sales services and part not available at time, meri MG car hamesa ghar se jyada to service center me hi padi rahti thi after 1 years,MG ko bechh ke Tata ki Harrier liya, abhi Tata se full satisfaction after sales services is best Riya Autolink service center with best supporting stuff, india me ho to Indian products and services hi leni chahiye for value for money.
My friends Xuv700 automatic petrol is giving 7 to 8 kmpl. All give almost same mileage in petrol be its XUV hector or Scorpio. In diesel u get better mileage.
Nice video ...But this is for everyone I mean if you face this kind of issues the first thing is to get your car and visit the showroom immediately.....This is with every brand ....it's not advisable to drive the car with issues going on....Though MG could have done better here👍

Yes mileage for petrol is 8 in city and upto 12 on highway and it's the same for XUV and Scorpio as well. For hybrid petrol 14 in city. For diesel 14 to 15 in city and approx 18 on highways. The car is very comfortable. Diesel is fun to drive as well. Maybe the dealership this person is going is not good. In friends we switch the cars very frequently. I have driven XUv700, Scorpio , hector , xuv500, Innova, safari etc. All the cars are good. It depends on ur requirement. If u want luxury then Hector is best. Hector has the most comfortable seats and best interior. If u want to race pick XUV700. Offroading go for Scorpio. Moreover these days good discount s are being offered on cars. Hector is offering rs3 lacs as discount. Have taken the quote yesterday itself. Planning to buy hector.
I have Mg Hector sharp cvt , absolutely no issues, suspension is on softer size, mileage I am getting is 9 to 10 kmpl in city , highway its giving 12 to 14 kmpl. I got 2022 model with 1 lakh discount. Service is okay not great not bad

I have cvt and Mileage in heavy traffic come around 8 -10 per highway me 15 + hi hoti (80 - 90 kmph) City me bhi average you can increase (10 to 13) traction off and go smoothly) Hybrid ki mileage jyada hai. Bhai ka specific car Me issue ho sakta hai. P.S. - Turbo 1.5 (1800 kgs weight) please keep all aspects in mind. Thanks for the video

I own MG Hector diesel, even my car got hydron locked under a railway track underpass in rainy season, but MG immediately changed my Car's engine with brand new engine under warranty, they didn't charge me anything, i don't know why, may be because I drive my car only 2000 kilometres, it was just 2 months old car
Mere paas 2021 Hector Petrol Hybrid hai aur mera iss discussion ko leke alag opinion hai. Agar hum average ki baat karein toh. Average completely driving style pe dependent hota hai. Meri gaadi 1 din mein 650-700km chali hai Varanasi se leke Delhi tak aur mujhe ek bhi baar 15 se neeche ka mileage nahi mila hai. Delhi ke bumper to bumper traffic mein bhi 12 se kamm ka mileage nahi mila hai. Jahan tak ki baat service ki rahi, agar hum after sales Tata aur Mahindra ki gaadiyon se compare kare toh mera MG ke sath experience unmatched raha hai. Kuch issues jo mere personal reason ke kaaran maine 1.5 saal baad theek karvaye hai vo bhi warranty mein almost free of cost repair hua hai. Loaner vehicle di gayi hai aur even Gloster as a Loaner car di gayi hai without asking for it. Service experience completely Dealership pe dependent hai toh Generalise karne se agree nahi karta hu main aur baat average ki rahi toh aap agar gaadi ke hisaab se apni driving style adapt kar payenge toh aapko kaafi better performance dekhne ko mil sakta hai.
as per my understanding. loner car only u get if any manufacturing fault is there, not on insurance claims those are external damages by customers. more over after insurance claim settlement if any parts gets replaced later it will not be covered again on that previous claim. you have to pay additionally.

Mostly in India, service is not up to the mark. Build quality is also not international std even with same models. May be the margin in India is less. You need to consider all this before purchasing any car and make the mind. You purchase the car as per need and not as per your pocket. Ravi bhai is very good at understanding the car, the moment he see the car his brain starts working. His analysis is like a doctor.
I am pretty satisfied so far with my MG Astor and their service experience although got few issues in my car but they fixed and replaced parts wherever required, all free of cost. Service center guys keep on bugging me every 5-10 days just to confirm that I am not facing any issues with my car and whether all previous issues have been resolved satisfactorily or not, otherwise who cares whether your car is running fine or not once you are out of service center. Whom so ever I have met in MG Service center (Hector or Gloster or Astor Owners), havent heard of any complaints related to MG's Service Quality. Although company should fix all such issues but seems cant rely on single side of the story.
And Economy hi sab kuchh nhi hoti DDS bhai, Gaadi ka apna andar se ek feel good factor bhi rehta hai and is budget mein aur koi brand wo exp nhi deta except MG aur ye aapke sab MG coverage videos mein bhi hai ye to. Meri 1.5 MT hai and avg bhi badhiya deti hai agar Tareeke se chalao. Agar Economy hi priority hai to Maruti lo ya fir Diesel.
mileage completely depends on how a person drives..... I get 11-12 kmpl on my hector automatic 2022 model in city...... and highway 15kmpl very light footed...... This car is comfort oriented and not performance oriented.....🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Meri gaadi 1 din mein 650-700km chali hai Varanasi se leke Delhi tak aur mujhe ek bhi baar 15 se neeche ka mileage nahi mila hai. Delhi ke bumper to bumper traffic mein bhi 12 se kamm ka mileage nahi mila hai. Jahan tak ki baat service ki rahi, agar hum after sales Tata aur Mahindra ki gaadiyon se compare kare toh mera MG ke sath experience unmatched raha hai. Kuch issues jo mere personal reason ke kaaran maine 1.5 saal baad theek karvaye hai vo bhi warranty mein almost free of cost repair hua hai. Loaner vehicle di gayi hai aur even Gloster as a Loaner car di gayi hai without asking for it. Service experience completely Dealership pe dependent hai toh Generalise karne se agree nahi karta hu main aur baat average ki rahi toh aap agar gaadi ke hisaab se apni driving style adapt kar payenge toh aapko kaafi better performance dekhne ko mil sakta hai.

as per my understanding. loner car only u get if any manufacturing fault is there, not on insurance claims those are external damages by customers. more over after insurance claim settlement if any parts gets replaced later it will not be covered again on that previous claim. you have to pay additionally.

I am getting between 9 - 11 in the city and 15+ on the highway, as you said depending on how you drive. look and feel is way better than the others. performance is good but yes depends on how you drive it. if you love the car it will love you back.

Mostly in India, service is not up to the mark. Build quality is also not international std even with same models. May be the margin in India is less. You need to consider all this before purchasing any car and make the mind. You purchase the car as per need and not as per your pocket. Ravi bhai is very good at understanding the car, the moment he see the car his brain starts working. His analysis is like a doctor.
There is irritating humming nose from diesel alcazar. But gives alright mileage 14 km in city and 21 km in highway
I also own a Hector Plus Diesel Manual Sharp Edition...till now no issues.... City mileage is around 13-15KMPL and highway 10-12KMPL

I am pretty satisfied so far with my MG Astor and their service experience although got few issues in my car but they fixed and replaced parts wherever required, all free of cost. Service center guys keep on bugging me every 5-10 days just to confirm that I am not facing any issues with my car and whether all previous issues have been resolved satisfactorily or not, otherwise who cares whether your car is running fine or not once you are out of service center. Whom so ever I have met in MG Service center (Hector or Gloster or Astor Owners), havent heard of any complaints related to MG's Service Quality.
Although company should fix all such issues but seems cant rely on single side of the story.
And Economy hi sab kuchh nhi hoti DDS bhai, Gaadi ka apna andar se ek feel good factor bhi rehta hai and is budget mein aur koi brand wo exp nhi deta except MG aur ye aapke sab MG coverage videos mein bhi hai ye to. Meri 1.5 MT hai and avg bhi badhiya deti hai agar Tareeke se chalao. Agar Economy hi priority hai to Maruti lo ya fir Diesel.

सर जी मैने आप के यहां mg hector गाड़ी बुक करवाई थी । परंतु आप के यहां सेल्स डिपार्टमेंट द्वारा बताया गया की आप को गाड़ी के साथ accessories ओर बहुत कुछ लेना पड़ेगा उस वजह से मेने mg hector nhi लेने का फैसला लिया है । आप के showroom से बुकिंग के बाद सही से जवाब भी नही दिया गया है। मेने 21 feb को ac नंबर दे दिया था परंतु अभी तक पेमेंट नही आया अब बोला गया है की मेल भेजो तो में वो भी भेज रहा हु । आप से निवेदन है की मुझे मेरा पैसा रिफंड करने की कृपा करे।
