Watching A and Glimmer die knowing I don’t stand a chance
Nothing hurts more than seeing the healers go down. Puts you on a timer
I fully upgraded A at that point, so not only was she tanking and healing all the damage but also blocking out the super attacks with Vision.
Let me tell you, A with full upgrades is slightly stronger than Matthew with half the upgrades. It’s honestly pretty ridiculous.
@@stingerredshock3418 preposterous

Meanwhile I had Matthew with an accessory to revive too, he actually came in clutch.

Ah the classic Xenoblade final boss experience; you’re either overleveled or underleveled, never the sweet spot.
The true classic
Dude I wish I was underlevelled here. Moebius W and Nael expected you to do all the sidequests so I did ALL of them before fighting N. I ended up murdering them all instantly
I’d personally call Alpha a challenge but not torture.
Z IS TORTURE
Alpha at least lets me restart in the phase I died in. 😭
Dying at Z’s final phase and realized that all of the battle cutscenes are unskippable 😭
I died once against Z when he activated the fire field, and after beating him on my second try I was so happy I didn't have to start over again. That was such a long fight
BACK TO THE ETERNAL FLOW
WHERE YOU BELONG
And yet you rise. You will taste despair!
Realizing Nia couldn't revive when my healers when down was the most painful thing I ever experienced
It's kinda insane how much easier this fight was than the N fight right before it lol
No joke that was the first time I almost switched off hard mode
yeah the N fight is very unbalanced for a lvl 49 boss, I had to go level up to lvl 54 to beat him lol
I had to get extremely lucky with that fight and I was on the easiest difficulty lol. I almost lost my mind lmao.
@@Alam_Gutz I had to get to level 60 lol
@@paul-nj1ig I thought of getting up to level 60 too but I didn't wanted the final boss to be too easy LOL
Did anyone else feel like this was the perfect sendoff?
Too many unanswered questions/10.
@@SirStrikeFreedom I just wanna know where Mythra's kid is. But Alpha was too busy bashing my head in
It's sad how this fight looks better than the actual XC3 final fight. Seriously, XC3 has the worst final boss in the series. A giant head? Really Monolith? We fought a badass looking god in 1, fought a giant mecha and Malos in 2, and in this DLC fought a supercomputer thingy that was also god AND a mecha.
In XC3 you fight "the Endless Now" smh.
@@immanuel7925 definitely more of a cinematic approach they took. Definitely preferred the Alpha fight but I know some people liked the Z fight
@@megabolt1 i enjoyed Z. Not the character terribly, but the progression of the boss battle worked for me
0:04 POV its your birthday
Worst birthday ever
So completing everything 100% except for superbosses gave me the different experience of rex one shotting the boss with just a normal burst combo
Red-Hot Aegislight goes CRAZY
I feel that I did like 97% of all of the optional content I think I was just missing the last Affinity unlock kit for nickol but I went in under leveled enough to have some challenge though I did not break chain attacks until after Bod.
Same here, I just obliterated N with a Chain Attack from 70% HP, and didn't have to use it at all against Alpha (I was afraid the music would change lmao). I was like lvl 59.
Deliverance Boomfist is the actual GOAT btw.
Monolith just cannot stop out-doing themselves. I’ve never been more hype than I have when I started playing Xenoblade chronicles and learning about the lore.
Not to mention that the game mechanics aren’t lacking either.
The music, especially this one; finally ridding the two worlds of the three massive powers that Klaus had created. During the recreation process in Xenoblade 2. When fighting Alvis, or Alpha, and that song came on, it really made me think, “this is it. This is the final act. This is where the road ends.”
And I cannot wait for the next saga after this one, the Klaus saga.
As much as i adore future redeemed and all its characters, i just wish we got some more answers as well as some closure as to how the future after XC3 looks like
@@simonstaysnclrMaybe we will, XC3's story was pretty divorced from all things Klaus
Easily my favorite final boss next to the first game (I won't say it for spoilers) But ngl I did find the N boss fight before Alpha harder. It took so long!
Shulk has been in like 7 games now
I believe it is possible for him to attack through vision too
I chain attacked him from half health and called it a day. Took an embarrassing number of tries tho
He can. Which is cool tbh. Imagine if he could through chain attacks
I'm so glad I best the dlc on hard. Made it much more intense.
Only chads chose hard on 1st playthrough...
@@IkanaMaskedMan I’m a Chadosaurus Rex then
@@asprinjuice8877 INDEED!
I did it too because I already found the base game a lot more easier than xc1 and xc2
Xc2 was hard even on easy mode
I played Xc1 on Wii so it didn't have an easy mode and I only finished this game this year while I possess it since 2011😭😂
And Alpha on xc3fr is the only Xenoblade boss I beat from first try despite putting the game on hard mode
I think you forgot that when you have a vision active, *He can monado purge and damage you*
Trust me I found that out as A fell over and died lol
Wait, people were struggling with Alpha? I didn’t see him as THAT hard. Don’t get me wrong, I died several times, but it only took me a handful of tries to figure out a decent strategy that worked. He provided pretty much the ideal level of challenge for a final fight.
N was a bloody nightmare though. I leveled to 54, made some serious accessory adjustments tailor-made for him, and still couldn’t get past his enraged state (though at least I was eventually surviving pre-enraged). Because I really wanted to wrap this up before finals hit and TOTK came out, I was left with no choice but to turn it down to Normal, and even then it was still somewhat of a struggle (far easier though). And yes, I turned it back to hard afterwards. I fought the first phase the first time on normal by mistake and restarted after shredding three quarters of the health bar in less than 3 minutes.
I think imma make a video on N too. Because on Hard mode his HP did NOT move and it was suffering like no other.
i actually beat N first try where as alpha took me 6 tries. The beginning of the N fight I did think it was a forced loss fight with how his hp just didnt move at all but eventually i just learned that if i take control of a tank aka shulk and just face N away from the party then everyone tends to avoid his attacks
Lore accurate N
It's a hopeless battle. Not A glimmer of hope is left. Perished, the cold chill of knowing there is no chance to save life. There is no chance to make a mericle. The angel of judgment sucks the physical life, the will you once had. Strong tanks slowly wither as you see them take their last breaths. This is not the future our hopes created. All fades to black, as memories surge back to the start. A new chance is born.
Adding this to the watch later. But leaving it playing on mute in the background so the CZcams algorithm can do its thing
Thanks my brother
I was playing on Hard but i was overleveled at 54 and my Chain Attack setup was absolutely busted so i ended up taking the boss down really easily on the first try. Anticlimatic, but still an amazing experience that made me realize my growth as a player in the past years.
Yea same here, I was level 56 and as soon as I got the chain attack Alpha just blew up
I played on Hard too. I actually didn’t have any trouble at all with either of Alpha’s phases but I would be lying if I tried to deny that N was rolling me for a while lmao
I beat Alpha first try, meanwhile the N fight beforehand slapped me around and spat on me. I get flashbacks hearing the words "Primal Chronos!"
played it for 30 hours, did all the side quests too. It was pretty easy, because I over leveled lol. I got too addicted getting the checkboxes.
This fight took me about six tries on Hard; around his level for half of the attempts (only to level up by 2-3 with bonus exp), not doing all the sidequests and still had some unlock kits to go. It was pretty much me dealing with his big attacks by the half-way point and trying to find ways around them. Attempt two also had some horrendous luck with his break resistance (Seriously, after around 20 Backspin Punches it finally worked. And this was with the Break Brooch on Matthew, by the way).
On the flipside, I beat N on my first try. There were points where things got dicey, but I still got combos in and used union attacks when a big attack was coming to try to negate death.
Poor Shulk
He declared the end alright. Again, and again, and again...
When I tell you I was fighting for my life the entire time bro
I made sure to complete the map before fighting the final boss so I was level 57 by the end of the game and didn't think it was hard at all, beat it on first try. Took half of Alpha's healthbar with Matthew and Rex's unity attack lol ggs
Rex is truly a chad
This is where i realised i did too many side quests haha, i found rex and shulk way harder than both N and Alpha, so much so that i intentionally didn't use chain attacks to give myself a challenge and still only died on N once and beat Alpha in one try
Exactly 😂😂 Alpha is the first Xenoblade boss I beated in one try and I was doing it in hard mode...
While I spend more than a decade just to finish the first Xenoblade on wii😂

It felt like they packed in a lot and a good amount of things weren’t given the time they deserve. I am happy with the ending though
I kinda wish it was a little longer like torna but overall I did have fun
If I were in your situation when my healer died and yet another alpha was about to kill everyone, I would be like: wow mothers, what a luck you have to have killed the boos in time
So funny enough, I was able to wreck this boss MUCH easier than N, who was the bane of my existence Even when I was mainly using A to place the shields at the right spot, and improved cool-downs, revives, and healing a lot, N still slammed lol
I went down to the area that had the ferronises blow uo at the start. Cause i was curious when story wise we would go down there, spoilers you dont, its optional. But i went from level 51, to 60 in 2 fights. Final boss wqs tough on hard, but not as bad as it coulda been
I was playing easy mode and I died 2 times to that charge up attack… then I chain attacked as he was charging and… when the chain attack ended, the charge attack just… stopped.
@Hello You Yes. I always play in easy mode if I get the chance when I first play a game. Then I can increase difficulty without pulling my hair out.
Did it first try on hard at level 50... abused the s so freaking hard, it's almost criminal
What a shame, I didn't even get to see Perfected Monado Buster when I played. I was on Normal, though.
I put this game in hard mode from the beginning to the end and it was the first final boss that I beated from the first time 😐 on the other hand, I finished the xc1 game this year for the first time... Despite possessing the game since December 2011
Tbf, I had played on hard mode against the level 60 superboss before trying to fight against Alpha, I didn't know that was a superboss because of the low level compared to what you would expect, but I will just say that my ass hasn't been kicked this hard on a xeno game since we had big monkeys on the starting areas.
I did sidequests so ended up having 2 chars almost fully affinitied and then he got broken into lauch at around 60% HP. He died after the chain attack, I may have been overprepared or maybe rex is just that much of a chad when he has every unlock kit.
Rex is broken
I wish this was as hard as XC1 finale on hard. But it’s not really possible to make a hard boss when chain attack lets people do 1billion damage 🗿
Rex moment 🗿
XC1 didn't have a hard mode though?
@@Zxanonblade o woops, my bad. Normal mode final boss kicking my ass then 🗿
Never even fought the rage phase because my chain wiped out the whole second half of his health bar.
My experience with the end bosses (granted, I was playing on Normal, I like saving Hard for second play-throughs) was weird. I see everyone saying N was difficult, but being about two levels above him, he wasn’t that bad? Got a little dicey in a couple spots, and it took so long for his health to go down, but I finished him off first or second try (can’t remember tbh, I think it was first but I’ll assume at least one failure just in case.)
Alpha (again, only one or two levels above him) took me five tries, making him the hardest boss in the whole base game + DLC for me. (I failed to Consul Y and Z once or twice each. Maybe M, too? Unsure.) The first four attempts were frustrating, and the last one was stupid simple because all I had to do was control A constantly instead of one of the tank boys and I was fine. 🤦♀️ It felt like there was only one strat to win because the AI doesn’t always run healers optimally, specifically when the bosses follow a pattern of “do something before this art or you will die.”
N has a bleed. Bleeds are disproportionally stronger on Hard because they both do more damage per tick and last longer, getting more total ticks. The other thing to note is that N benefits more from some of the other bonuses because he has shorter art animations (so art recharge bonuses actually matter more often) and a nastier enrage (including an extra, nasty attack that he uses fairly often).
@@alexstewart9592 that makes sense! They really do get vicious with the debuffs in Hard. I just think it’s interesting that the level of difficulty isn’t equally raised for both N and Alpha due to this (making the “mini boss” more threatening than the final boss). What really got me in my experience was the fact that Alpha was only difficult if I didn’t play a healer (A specifically) for the whole fight. As soon as I stuck with healer exclusively, it was drastically easier. So… that felt kind of lame lol
not me getting my ass blasted in the last few moments thinking I had won
Personally played on Normal, reached Alpha just a little bit above his level and he was a complete joke to me, ended both phases in one chain attack each from above half health. My partner had the exact same experience. So if you don't play on hard or are underleveled, this fight is likely to end up being just another regular Unique Monster.
Hard mode, beat Alpha first try.
Before, I got my ass handed by N a few times.
Lv-grinding in this game is quiet easy and fun, doing affinity growth and tweek Accessoires seals the deal.
I used my chain attack once he oneshotted everyone which really saved me
Then there's me having almost 100%'ed the game before the fight. My Rex completely distroyed Alpha 😆
poor shulk
While he was pushing me…he had NOTHING on hard difficulty N. I had to outlevel N by like 6 levels and it STILL took me lile 6 tries to beat him lol
Lowkey I think the reason why Alpha was easy to everyone was because we had to overlevel to beat N
I see people struggled against N but not Alpha...
Weird, for me it was backwards; N never put me in a dangerous situation nor I felt pressured and Alpha almost wiped out my ass multiple times.
If I wouldn't have given Nikol the non healer Revival accesory I would've died multiple times.
I was on Hard too.
The only story fight in the game I lost was nael/alpha

me when I have to switch to easy for the final boss and have to convince myself that it's fine because I'm mainly in it for the story
Honestly the only really scary part for alpha was requiem for the olden ones, because it's a one hit kill if it connects.
But if you are smart you can interupt the move via a _chain attack_
Which is what i did.
I actually beat this boss in two tries and i was on hard mode.
It did help though on a rematch they'd allow me to access na'el's equipment to turn her into a damage dps machine via masha's heroic chain bonus.
_seriously, you give me pierce and a damn near garunteed critical hit art, shit is going to collapse against alvis_
No, you can actually survive Requiem. It's vision mode that you have to worry about. He's much harder to hit and he'll be charging up. If he finishes the charge, he gets to use Perfect Monado Buster, which I'm pretty sure is a guaranteed insta kill unless you're considerably overleveled. But if you managed to damage him enough times to interrupt the charge, you get the flawed variant of the attack, which doesn't hit nearly as hard.
Cleanse the Dregs can also be a nasty attack if you aren't doing real hot health wise.
@@AzureMoebius22
Perfected Monado Buster is pretty much the Prometheus of this game. Anybody that isn’t a tank or doesn’t have an ability to survive with 1 HP will die.
I had Shulk survive…only to die by a Monado Combo afterwards 😂
@@twindragons4590 Yeah, I'm prepared to say that Alpha is the hardest final boss in Xenoblade
Clearly someone never felt the wrath of Xenoblade Chronicles X being under leveled
Oh trust me, that final fight I'll never recover from
This is why I only play Normal, bruh
Hard mode this round was actually better than the base game imo
lol always casual mode for me rpgs aren’t my strong suit cause I can’t dodge or block
I was surprised how easy this fight was. I struggled with Na'el/Alpha the first time I fought her, and N is always a challenge, but Alpha was easy. I don't feel like this story was a 'sendoff' for the series but rather a way to clear up a few things now this trilogy is over. Bit weird how Noah's family life is the most important part of Xenoblade despite it being added in the final game. No explanation of Riku, no real explanation of Mobius either. Great DLC and loved seeing Shulk and Rex again, but this was more fan-service than an ending to anything.
Moebius was already explained in base game. Future Redeemed added some extra context before base game.
Riku is the secret 7th founder and was not assimilated by Origin, just like Shulk, Rex, The Queens, Panacea, and Linka. He forged Lucky Seven with the aid of Melia who is the masterpon he often refers to in base game. Lucky Seven contains the souls/emotions and feelings of the main party of Xenoblade 1. Because Moebius and Ouroboros rely on emotion heavily, this makes Lucky Seven an incredibly powerful weapon wielded by Noah.
Riku is also the child of Riki (potentially could be Kino's kid however it is unlikely).
@@MiguelHernandez-lo5lg Okay fair enough with Lucky 7 I think I missed that part of the game (perhaps that is said in a side quest or something) but Mobieus is not 'explained' really. They are the fears and/or negative emotions of those trapped in Origin? Come on, that is anime bs. Honestly, the Lucky 7 back story is a bit daft too.
@@SeriousMcnegative rather than just fear/negative emotions, Moebius is one fear in particular; the fear of the future, the unknown.
It was explained in the base game. Even stated in the final battle.
I won’t say it’s not some anime bs, but we had a God who could see and control the future, giant beings/creatures acting like entire worlds, crystals becoming person, and so on and so forth.
Moebius being the incarnation of the fear of the future is not that much of a problem at this point.
I tried the dlc at the hardest difficulty but I turned it off because I couldn't beat N in the black mountains
I dont even blame you. I almost turned it off myself
I overleveled D:
Honestly its easy to in the endgame I don't blame you

@@megabolt1 yea that’s the main flaw of 3 imo
Kind of an odd decision to let only the healers revive people. Only way others could was through a rare ass item I only found existed AFTER i played both games 😵💫
@BengalSW like it makes sense that healers can you know...revive. But when the other games weren't like that it's kinda a huge jump
Pretty easy if you do all the nice Side activitys in this fantastic dlc
Yeah I say I did about half of the side stuff. I didn't want to be TOO overleveled for the fight
It's too bad hard mode in games like these is just "more damage and health" and boils down to relying upon layers of rng/grinding. Would be better if hard mode was different enemies, bosses were given new moves, etc. The only games I've seen do this have been ones like DMC and Ninja Gaiden.
My favorite part is after they spoil every game in the series in the credits
I beat this boss and I still have no idea how canceling Monado Buster works.
Still far, FAR easier than N was.
You mean the Perfected one? It’s essentially a damage check. Just wail on him.
I went in underleveled and without a handful of art manuals…so it was pretty much impossible for me lol.
