My dad my twin brother fly a 108 on floats in Canada and we have flown countless hours in my cousins moose on Vancouver island you can bang it down hard and fly in heavy turbulence 20 plus yrs with no issues on the air frame so the guy that’s worried about putting the turbine on this thing I don’t think you could find a better built airplane our 108 we had for 55 yrs and it’s fully metalized we fully maintain it but we baby it

Wonder if you could put that engine into a Sea Ray. Most likely lighter than a piston flat 6.
With PT 6 you still need more ground roll to take off empty than a Zenith 750 at gross ?! (100 HP and 100 ft) Other than Bearhawk, there is also Aerocomp in Florida. I know it is a lot of work and testing, but you should do some airframe mods to raise the Vne or some of the engine HP are wasted. I know some Australian maker , I suspect they purposely make the Vne lower to avoid a lot of testing.
Of course it takes more runway, it’s a much larger airplane and much more capable

A factory new pt6 is over a million dollars. What did you expect?
PT6 cost like 500k used and burning 50GPH how can a home builder afford such thing I mean you can buy a super nice house or a little engine???
Not sure the airframe can take it. A regular kit aircraft could not but this guy probably already took care of it.
It’s law, you can turn it into a bed. I’m caribou about saying that, as my deer wife’s got a big rack, and I only want to suckle-up. We never seriously lock horns, though I hoofed it outta-there a few times… 👨🏽⚖️🛌🫎
