Titanium is nothing to Spiderman, he can tear through that with his finger tips like a strong man tearing an aluminum can in half.
the "maybe adamantium if anyone is asking" was basically a joke saying when he tells the story they will be adamantium shackles.
Thing is, it is just bad writing, Spiderman can lift an entire crumbling apartment building with his spider strength, he has done it numerous times.
They had to nerf him several times over for a punk like Tombstone (as he was written in this) to be intimidating.
They wanted a "haha Tombstone is so cool he outwitted Spiderman" moment because the woke pieces of shit at Marvel hate Parker for being a cis white male.
But for their shit tier "writing" to make sense they need to nerf Spiderman or Tombstone couldn't outwit because he would have been KO'd in 3.2 seconds.
Spiderman would never screw up this bad, not even on his worst day. Clearly the writers are favoring Tombstone in a new way.
Considering one Spider-Man snapped Gwen Stacy's back by mistake, I disagree.

It seemed that way, but after watching the video, Spider-man was actually begging for the lives of the civilians he thought were going to be killed, not his own.
if it helps half of it was him pleading to save the civilians, the other half was him pretending to plead so he can get one last surprise attack on him as he explained in his inner monologue
Seems more like he was begging for the massacre not to happen which lines up with his character. I could see Peter easily swallow his pride and beg if it's to save innocents.

Fought the Avengers when he first met them and made the X men look like amateurs. Spiderman is considered a mid weight in terms of stremght and is alongside characters like Silver Surfer, She Hulk and Ghost Rider. You can find the officialy scan on the internet

I've read books where Spiderman fought the Hulk. Spiderman didn't win but he did put up a decent fight. Has Tombstone ever been stronger than Spiderman? I know that Spiderman plays around with his opponents too much but he just took a beatdown in this one. The fight made no sense to me. However I don't know what any of us can do about the outcome.

@@yesyes2736 So what? Its not like powerlevels of pretty much all comic heroes and villains are constantly shifting around. There are versions of the hulk powerfull enough to destroy planets for fun. In others he can get beaten down by a guy in a robot suit. Superman would be the prime example, sometimes he can literally sneeze whole solar systems away, while in most versions pretty weak opponents in comparrison can at least draw blood.

Well, it's obvious that the writers wanted to portray a villain being capable of outsmart a hero, and that itself is not bad, actually it works to show that heroes are not flawless, which makes them more compelling and the villains look more competent.
Yet it's so wrong when it is done by nerfing the characters to the point of absurdity. Spiderman, being so fast and strong as he is, he would have taken out Tombstone in melee any day of the week.
If they truly wanted to make this works, they should have use something like a sleep gas or something that could work on a closed space while Tombstone put on a mask.
And the icing of the cake, is Peter begging for his life, to add further humilliation to the character.
Here's the thing though, you think the premise is faulty because you think that Tombstone is some random Spiderman villain, but that is far from the case. Tombstone has always been one of Peters toughest opponents over the years, Tombstone has never made any of their fights an easy affair especially with his borderline indestructible skin.
If anything Tombstone was the one who got nerfed in this story because Peter was actually able to draw blood with his punches, something Peter can't normally do even at his best.

I can’t believe Peter got nerfed this badly thanks to Zeb Wells’ awful run. This is the same character who beat Carnage/Norman Osborn while protecting two kids with his bare hands in the last run, went 1v1 against Morlun (who killed multiple alternate Spider-People) twice, survived getting the crap beaten out of him by a phoenix powered Colossus and Magik while making jokes at them, lasted two weeks being buried alive in a coffin by Kraven and can lift up to 10 tons according to the main Marvel site (which is almost as much as a tank)
Don't forget in the ultimate comics Peter at *15* years old was strong enough to whoop all of the sinister 6 at the same time with a bullet in his chest
He only lost the fight cause they dragged it on literally all day so he was fighting from Sun rise till nightfall
Sure it's a different continuity but I don't think the difference between the two would be that large since it's the same character just younger again

@@hugzar9797 Tombstone fights on an entirely different level than Fisk, Peter has to hold back significantly in order to not hurt him too badly, Tombstone on the other hand is so tough that Peters punches can't even scratch him and end up causing more damage to Peter than Tombstone.
Also Fisk beating Dr. Doom was one of the biggest outliers in comic history, up there with Spiderman somehow beating Firelord of all people one on one.

As for Tombstone, not only do both Peter and Ben Reilly hurt their hands fighting the guy but he can effortlessly tank hits from Darkhawk who can compete with Venom in strength, and Venom operates on an entirely different level of strength than Spiderman.

Spider-man comics really aren't the same anymore, spidey just keeps taking L's and L's and the story doesn't really have any real direction anymore, or happy ending in sight.
Tombstone has been one punched by spider-man before. The guy can survive direct hits from rocket launchers unscathed. There is no way he beats spidey that easy. This writer did not do his homework.
Now THIS is how you present a comic.
For all you guys thought that he was begging for his life, it was actually begging for the civilians' lives.

All of these guys can and have taken Peter at his best or at bare minimum have physical stats that Peter can never hope to match

It’s wasn’t too bad, it was trying to be dynamic with with bad guys, making them more competent and compelling that they can screw with spidery, but yeah he got nerfed real bad.

This is AMAZING. You know, I've been a superhero fan for years and really want to get into the comics...but I'm the type of person who needs to hear the voices of the characters, sound effects and music to be engaged. For that reason, I've always loved motion comics, but those are few and far between. What you're doing is GENIUS - you're basically making condensed motion comics with narration, using more modern issues. I can see this is made with immense care and respect for the source material, especially in terms of the editing and voice acting. You're doing God's work, my friend, spreading awareness of these often-overlooked stories. Channels like yours are definitely going to aid the comic book industry and let people know just how great a lot of the books are. Judging by how well manga and anime have done, I can't help but feel Marvel and DC would be doing far better if they just adapted these stories word-for-word like anime does for manga. If Invincible is any indication, faithful adaptations can be successful and lucrative. Oh, and you earned a subscription from me. I'd like to see you do even more of these types of videos in the future.

I love the tidbit that his spidey senses NEVER went off, because he never really was in danger. They were never going to shoot him, there probably weren't any bullets in the gun to begin with, because Spider-Man was an essential part of Tombstone's plan
