My Navy Midshipmen run something similar. It's a 4-2-5 out of a 3-4 defense. Raider and Striker are the hybrid players at OLB. You can build it but you have to move athletic DEs to OLB and SSs to OLB.
I noticed that you were in a 3-4 when you were up against the Wildcat Unbalanced formation. I have a love-and-hate relationship with that formation. I love to run it on people who are not informed on how to stop it and I hate when others run it on me because I don't have complete knowledge of how to stop 🚫 it. I've tried to shut down the run while in the 5-2 formation but I get tortured. I have a pretty decent D-LINE in Ultimate Teams and I still struggle to stop the inside run and the outside run as well while using cover 3 plays or cover 0 blitzes. I believe some of the reasons I had issues with stopping the run were because of the horrible pursuit angling in this game and also because of the lack of speed my DEs had. Deone Walker's speed is 75 and he's at LE and Jonathan Jefferson’s speed is 80 at RE. I experienced the majority of the annoyance and madness before the patch while playing Champs and House Rules. I've been searching for someone who will or could break down formations and personnel of some or all of these offensive and defensive formations, especially the most popular ones so I could use them and stop them. Will you be breaking down at least all of the most popular offensive and defensive formations and personnel in this game?
Who do you control in your 3-4? Because you gotta know your run fits & also gotta read if it’s a run play. Like if you see the O-line come up after the snap it’s most likely a run, if they drop back after the snap it’s a pass play
Can we apply all the stuff for nickel, to a formation like 4-2-5? Been running match out of that thanks to your Madden 23 Bama defense video. Just wanted to make sure it’s still effective .
Or instead of paying money for someone to show you the answer, just research and practice until you find a style that fits you. Make sure you have a high football IQ to apply your research effectively. I dont think spending money on a video game for a guidebook is the best way to use your money (including League Of Legend pay subcriptions that claim to better your overall fame play). You'll thank me later
