    Thanks for the video. How would you compare theperformancve of these compared to Oticon and Starkey and Phonak iic?

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  Před 4 měsíci

      They do offer some things that Phonak, Oticon & Starkey don’t
      Phonak & Oticon from memory are not current technology. We haven’t had any recent requests for any Phonak’s & not been successful with the most recent Oticon Starkey’s latest product (Not IIC I appreciate is rechargeable so at least they have that in common) can’t as far as I know use an app with them & don’t have directional mics. I personally like ITC’s or RICs over them for streaming/calls/tv adapters but having tried them I am a fan I haven’t personally had any CICs made. I think the interesting one is The Insio IX CIC we have had a couple of orders already so will post about them once fitted. Also keen to try the latest Starkey’s

    I am trying a pair of Rexton iic hearing aides from Costco which I heard were the same as the Signia X 7 and they work really well. They have the battery in them, I would prefer the rechargeable. Would you say these rechargeable ones work as well as the ones with the battery, I would much rather have the rechargeable version.

      I haven't fitted a custom CIC with them since Siemens did the Nitro. There is a new custom CIC out this week with Signia in the UK which is current (IX) up to then they have lagged behind with their custom CIC technology. I wasn't aware there was ever an AX 7 CIC. We have had pretty strong results with the latest Silk IX model The main thing is you are happy with your provider & the aids.

    Thank you for your review 🙏🏻.
    Could you please help me what is the best CIC model can fit with severe to profound hearing loss ? I have been wearing CIC signia nitro 48 channels for almost 8 years and I want to replace it now. I don't want to wear BTE or ITE Cuz I really don't like them.
    I need something with 75db and up, I have tinnitus too.
    I'm completely deaf on my left ear and have severe to profound hearing loss on the right one

      Wow the Nitro! Had forgotten about them, really good aids. It sounds like you might be better off with a Bi-Cros system with a custom tip Fitted a set of Nexia's yesterday & the gent had me match his hair tone & use Vanish receiver dye on the wires. Hard to know without an audiogram or seeing you in person. I tend not to fit a lot of custom CIC's, especially to that severity of loss.

    I am currently trying out these. I have level 5. I have moderate hearing loss. I was in a restaurant last night and couldn't even hear what the person next to me was saying. The volume is on 5 and I can't adjust it with the app the audiologist said they have to adjust it. I'm on a trial period, would the higher level 7 offer more flexibility to hear better in a loud environment?

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  Před 2 měsíci

      The 7 has a form of directionality so should offer an improvement over the 5 level. A twin mic model would be better still though.

    I know behind the ear hearing aides perform much better than CIC ones. I’m not ready to wear a behind the ear one, could you recommend the most discreet CIC aide that performs the best for mild to moderate hearing and in noisy environments if one is better than the other for this, Thank you!

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  Před 7 měsíci

      These are the only CIC aids that has a form of directionality so a great starting point. You could go with Insio AX 7’s if you would consider the “hidden in plain sight style” as the aids are in the “right place” and have the super directional mic option within the Universal program. They are however a model behind the behind the ear version.

      We have had good success with Phonak but a number of manufacturers have solutions for more severe losses.

    How much the price

    • @zone1hearing
      @zone1hearing  Před 6 měsíci

      It is hard to give a precise price, it will depend on performance level, location, whether you go for bundled (including aftercare) or unbundled “pay as you go aftercare”
