We need to be able to communicate in the Rec lobby loading screen. At that point we can talk about how we play. And what happened to us being able to see stats before we load up. We need to be able to see teammate grades imo

Takeovers need to go through with your attributes, and there needs to be different takeovers, for example a new play making take over for pass first builds can be open icon pops up whenever your teammates are open, for a defense heavy build a new option could be his takeover boost his teammates defense by +5 or 10 in every category etc

Take over tiers would be different too, silver, gold, and hall of fame all tied behind the players potential that allows you to grow different parts of your game throughout the whole year

Honestly this does not sound bad but I do believe the take over should come on randomly when your hot giving a more realistic appproach similiar to how 2k17s grandbadge system worked
We’re overdoing it make the game simple. Rep, rookie ta legend a bit more arcadey gameplay, and lets not add boosts n abilites depending on lineups thats garbage. Also why dont we have rewards for milestones? Score 100 points in online games reward me 1k 100 rebounds/ assists steals all that need ta be rewarded for hitting milestones

Slashing take was so bad this year almost not even worth ever using, and shooting take had too many benefits including breaking ankles

This game need to be revamp period! I played so much solo rec for yrs it is so hard to play like that. Based on your position rep should be grade. I pg holds the ball for 10 sec then pass late because they want to score 30 or 40 points. In addition defense breakdown with one person that doesn't play D.
Sounds like another 2K game with no defense. The defensive player movement in 2K is a step behind the offensive player movement. Defensive movement is too stiff but ball handlers on offense get quick animations. Focus on defensive player movement.
Where they went wrong was when the dribbling from 2k19 to 20 happened. It got simplified and after all the years of practicing and crafting from 15 for me were taken away and then every Joe blow could learn dribble moves by two days
The thing is. Tell them to stop changing the analog up just to do dribbling and the dribbling that’s in 2k now wasn’t in the 2ku so why is l2 cancel in game for ?
I feel like having a main takeover for your build but if you have the ability to add a boost to your build mid game is the best way to go
Selecting your takeover is honestly the best way. To add onto that, a plus 10 towards a specific play style isn’t that crazy if it’s going towards something that build isn’t good at (ex: defensive take for a build with pretty much no defense
Also another thing that will bring more value to the game is making greens more rare how they used to be bc as of now there is no value and dopamine in getting a green light

People can be garbage but paid to max out the whole season & still experience the same situation playing with random
Factz I understand you completely cause I been going thru it with ppl like that I'm not saying they can't spend they money how they want but why mess up the game by shooting and missing and rim running and miss layups or dribbling the hold clock
This system you’re talking about feels park centric when most don’t know play park. I would even venture to say there are more people who hate park than any other game mode. I hear it in mic every day. Like being forced to play it for affiliations lead to many people being unaffiliated. How about one that fits all game modes well?
2k hasn't dropped any news or gameplay or information let that sink in.
They usually put the info out in August. I don’t get how people forget about this continuous cycle.
August is usually when we get the bulk of the info, but the absence of any gameplay trailers at this point is the concern for most, I think.
The new 2k defense every body playing where you have the paint defenders not guarding they man but clogging up the paint needs to change 3 secs Def ain't called enough for camping in the paint
Per the example you used, steph curry getting finishing takeover wouldn’t be to have contact dunks but better layup finishes
Other than sharp take being pretty broken, I think takeovers were fine. In general, if you had low ratings, activating take in those categories would round you out more, but it didn’t make you overpowered at all imo.
Stop nerfing defense to the ground, make a neighborhood a quarter of the size, make takeover boost grindable and have the effectiveness of it go up and down like the badge progression depending on usage, have rep increase in park/stage for streak after 10, and more rep in stage, fix paint contest to make it work, take out dunk/layup meter
That's something u should earn like when they had badges like park bully and such.. on the older 2ks.
Park badges would be fucking amazing.
The animation packages should have dual setups like street moves for stage and park and simulation moves for other modes, lose the hitches im the moves, speed it up, and fix the DELAY IN BUTTON INPUTS. Just off the top of my head.
I would just join the park with my friends unadd them , then run the no squads courts with them to get that 4x rep and attribute boosts for playing with randoms , that system would be easy to finesse 😂

You shouldn't be able to pick a takeover. That's not realistic. You should get takeover based on your attributes and actions. For example, an inside center shouldn't be able to get shooting takeover. You can only get a specific takeover if your attributes hit a certain threshold. If you're a 60 overall prospect, if you fill the meter, you should just get hot and your attributes increase, but you wouldn't get takeover. Also, if that indide center is scoring inside a lot, he should get finishing takeover once he fills the meter automatically. If he gets a lot of rebounds and fills the meter, he should get rebounding takeover automatically.
What makes me mad is how you can go 17/18 in the rec 1 game then the next can't hit a shot to save your life even tho it's season 8 now and you know your shot....if we time our shot right it should be green
What if you could customize your takeover. Like when you make your player when it's time to chose takeover for your player you distribute 10 pts that'll activate when you activate takeover. So it's like I put 5 in playmaking and 5 in finishing or 2pts in all categories. 2 in def,finishing, playmaking,shoot and physicals or all 10 in 1 category.
I heard you talking about templates earlier, but I didn't quite get everything because my English isn't that great. It reminded me of an idea I had about templates. I'm not sure if it's the same as what you were talking about. My idea is that next year they could implement a system where we have templates like this year, but this time all of them are available from the start of the year, if possible. Alternatively, they could make them available per season, which could also work. But the main point is to have a system where we can start a Rec game or a Park game, all online modes, and instead of starting with a character we've made ourselves in career mode, we start directly with a predefined character, a template, that is already at level 99. However, we wouldn't be able to modify the template in any way, whether it's the animations, the shots, etc., it would be locked as it is.
These templates would only be usable online, in Rec and Park, and not in career mode where you play seasons with a team. This way, people who prefer the current system can still create their own build, farm it, and use it in their career and Rec games. But it would also allow people who don't have the time or the desire to farm but still want to play online basketball to use these templates directly without having to grind. Of course, these templates might not be the most viable builds, but they would let people jump straight into the game. It would also let players try out different playstyles that they might not risk with their own build since they have to farm it.
This could create a balanced environment because, even if the templates are level 99, the opponents could also use templates to compete. And they could still face regular players who have farmed their own builds.

3:22 sounds like the floor general badge in 2k20 switch was a good badge they shouldn't have taken of our boosted all your teammate's attributes
You not tripping but 2k needs to kinda something like match making on the courts so that way it could be more fun and competitive if that makes sense like cause 3 99s could beat 3 80s or etc so have to like the overalls are balanced on the court that you step on

Another thing that needs to go is running around on offense doesn't cost stamina bad idea
And after you lose you momentum bars players still have the ability to shoot with no penalty

I would love to gain attributes and badges based on how I play. Not like it is now but fully like how you play. And I also don’t mean doing a floater here and there nd getting that on hof. But if I’m waiting on the pass I should be able to work my claymore to hof from like silver, over time.

For sure. If I head into the rec with an 80 OA and match up against a 95 OA and proceed to dominate them and get an A+ to their C-... there should be a boost and honestly the 95 OA should get a de-boost.
As you say, the same with win %.
That's how it should be, I'm sure over the years they mentioned that they did do that, like it was supposed to be a thing, but obviously it either isn't there or has an extremely minimal effect.

Random rec has terrible teammate culture. The problem is people don’t want chemistry they just want the ball and to score all on their own. How about getting takeover fast with assists? How about players start off with the +10 attributes but every miss it goes down so people don’t keep hogging the ball

That's what I took from the video. They need to bring back stats waiting to find a game in the rec. Fix matchmaking, so it will be competitive beating randoms by 90 is crazy.
Can we get more jumpshots for bigs and just make more jumpshots better so people can have different jumpers because we all find the best jumpshot and the whole community use the same 3 jumpshots

I feel like we should be able to continue to upgrade our BUILDS by continuing to play seasons and get better if im on year 3 or 4 in my career i should be better than my rookie season but you would have to be playing on a challenging difficulty level fornit to count ....let it be a high risk reward cause you can also get worst if you stinking it upon the court . What's the point of it being RPG-type game? But you can't continue to get better.

Tiers for badges should be gone , floor setters and losing badges need to be removed and you need to go back to earning badges just giving ppl 50 badges is so fucking dumb 😂 and for takeover I think whatever your doing in game is the takeover you get if your hitting jumpers like 3-4 depending if you hit them in a row you get shooting takeover rebounding is rebounds obviously and you get more takeover boost for offensive rebounds
