Alhumdulilah my wife and I homeschool our three kids.
As someone who was born and raised in the west, I know first hand the dangers of public school, and what that can lead to.
Your faith will take a hit, and your Haya will go away.
I really believe that we live in those times where holding to our deen will be like holding onto hot coal:
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A time of patience will come to people in which adhering to one’s religion is like grasping a hot coal.”

Salaam, indeed homeschooling is the best and guys it doesn’t mean being at home rather you can and probably will be much more outside compare to school going ones.

Exactly. Many people think you will be trapped at home 24/7

I homeschooled back in like 2000 for a grade or so... Man did that put a strain on my relationship with my mother at the time

You can create your own curriculum . Pick from different countries and mix . You don’t have to follow a particular programme . Just find the right books etc

My parents were wealthy and could afford to homeschool my 2 brothers and I with private tutors for each subject. I'd say if you can afford it you should homeschool. But don't think that just cause your kid is homeschooled they can't learn things behind your back. I'm 16 but when I was 14 I managed to bypass the parental controls on the tablet and got on a website and watched a movie with explicit sex scenes. I mean unless you're Amish and hate technology, kids are going to find things out eventually. That's just how the online world is and you can't stop it

@@taimurahmad well hello yt is a small place lol. I'm not ashamed of watching a movie when I had no knowledge of sex at that age. Any kid would've done the same as me

My kids are home schooled, my wife does all of the school mainly English and maths at home which takes up to 2 hours max. My wife is not a qualified teacher but she learned everything herself and followed a simple curriculum. I am so proud of my wife and what she has achieved with our children's education alhamdulillah, my two older children 8 and 10yo love to read books amd write stories and they have always been advanced compared to children of the same age attending schools. So no you do not need to be wealthy and hire tutors, if the mother is willing to take of the responsibility and she is passionate about educating her children then it can be done, there will be challenges along the way but the end result is well worth it.
Also you say you were exposed to haram content, it's really simple do not let your children to use devices unsupervised. My wife and I do not even own a tablet and there is not need, rarely we let our kids to use our phones to play a game but it is supervised and for only around 15 minutes. If the parents are serious about protecting their children from haram then they ensure it does not happen. Of course there are not guarantees especially living in the West but send our kids to schools the threat of them being exposed to fitnah is far greater and can have a detrimental affect on their future.

@@aussiemuslim that's true you don't need to be rich or anything to homeschool if the mother knows what she's doing. My mum wasn't good at maths or science so we had tutors mainly for that reason. Yea my parents didn't let us use devices as children but it was different as teens because we were doing more independent studying from online resources and at 14/15 we begged to be connected online with our friends so our parents gave in lol. I'm 17 and I think it's wonderful your protecting your children and you should do that for as long as possible but I think you might find it harder to do as your kids reach my age and approach 18.

Yeah but I don't want my child to be antisocial either and I don't want them to learn wrong things. I'm for sure moving to a different country soon.

This is a common misconception. Homeschooling doesn’t mean they stay at home and never leave. They still have the opportunity to go out and social with other kids, play sports, etc. Many opportunities to socialize?

    • @Zazezoo
      @Zazezoo Pƙed 4 dny

Don’t you have the local park or even sports clubs they can attend?
My kids go to Islamic sch and I still don’t agree with many things. Even their teacher support my idea of homeschooling. They have not even come out with decent friends.
I’m homeschooling them in sha Allah
they actually socialise more at the park or their BJJ classes!
