I think you're wrong. When I change timing chain on a low miles customer's bike I found the timing is as per manual, assembled in Suzuki. Needless to say the engine starts and is running fine.
This guy is wrong as I tried this and it was one tooth out and it did start up but didn’t run properly,go by the book this guy doesn’t know what he is talking about!
What is not clear is that is the set to TDC is the piston in top position,is the marker on the engine bolt in line with the marker.
