Those of us who lived through Luna’s predicament are ecstatic that this girl is now free. When we found out that she had left on her own, everyone here was very happy for her.
But, really, the story should not be about you or "those of us who lived through" anything, but about the whales themselves.
Luna was a victim of Indian politics. Canadian scientists wanted to reunite Luna with a whale group, pointing out the likelihood of Luna being killed or injured by marine traffic but the Indian's screamed something to the effect that Luna was the reincarnation of old Uncle George, got the government to ignore logic, cave and appoint the tribe as guardians. So Luna subsequently collided with a boat and died. One of those sappy Canadian Indian tragedies.
Lucky those of you who contributed to Luna's death by claiming she was your frick'n reincarnated chief were not around to stop "Brave Little Hunter" or whatever the name from making her natural escape.
@@nabirasch5169 "But he must stay. He is the reincarnation of our chief who just died!" Possessive superstition!
@@gregorynixon2945 Wow. Angrily racist much?
I bet she instinctively knows exactly what she is doing.
she doesn't that's not how orca babies work
And humans convinced themselves that they were crucial in the matter.
Marine life know that every month there’s a really high tide due to the moons elliptical orbit.
R.i.p. to her mom and lost sibling. Maybe they are with the survived baby orca in spirit. 💕💕💕
You are too privileged
What a beautiful reflection 💕
Nope
There is no spiritual afterlife
Uh-huh. Maybe.
Glad to hear this. Bless her.
It surprises me that with all the expenditures in whale research here they don't know where her pod currently is.
Herhaps just let her mourning her lost and than she left when she was ready. Human playing God again.
She never wanted to leave her mom.
Hell ya little buddy!
I'M SO GLAD SHE'S OKAY ❤❤❤
But God damn they are good eating 😋🍽

Any update or sighting since the rescue?
Here's what her pod looked like when I filmed them on two separate occasions last year: czcams.com/video/PgrkWYwb51c/video.htmlsi=NjWNbzw9kEM5Y4g6
Maybe she heard the whale pod, that’s why she suddenly left.
But what they arnt reporting is that she dyed 4 hours later
The info is out there folks....they dont want us to no
How do you know this?
Stop misleading. She went down past Esperanza to the open ocean. Now she needs to find her pod.
How do I know? I live in that area of the world.

I heard it had to escape after the natives got hungry after subway stopped free tuna subs for the helpers! Her in invuik we kill beluga whales, for,a,traditional dish called pooh smells sandwiches after,we,Barry it on the beach to season! I hope,my fellow hunters will have good luck in are traditional whale hunt
What if they shot her, where is the proof she swam away?
How do we know you’re not a Russian bot? Prove it.
@@mensrea1251 I am not claiming anything
Sure you are. You’re playing the “I’m just asking questions” game that journalists play. When in fact all they (and you) are doing isn’t asking a question in good faith at all, but just randomly throwing grenades without any care what the answer is. You should be a journalist.
@@mensrea1251relax and open the window, Buzzkill
isn't that racist, or anti semitic, or something ?
are you stupid?
*Assumed* to be trapped. No one asked her. She swam away when she was ready w/o any influence of Indigenous voodoo whatsoever. The story is not about the tribe and their mystical union with the whale (which did absolutely nothing), but about the survival of the whale. The event was NOT about "deeper meanings" or the superstitious tribal hokum.
“Voodoo”? Racist. Live amongst the First Nations for a while and say that to their faces.
She probably ate all the available food in the lagoon. And knew it was time to go.
@@kitt2000car Perfectly natural.
Lucky she escaped the tribe after what a tribe did to Luna--the one before.
@@nabirasch5169 This tribe was claiming reincarnation shite too and saying he was one of them. Blind and stupid. Why do we keep listing to such outdated mythology?
Great, now what? 🫤🙁
