This is the ONE. It really is, believe me. I have had a lot of perfumes (+100) designer, niche, cheap, rare and every kind of perfumes but this one have "something different". I don't want to say pheromones but ladies at my work always ALWAYS tell me they love how I smell. Clean, sexy, masculine, mysterious, different. Awesome. A brilliant f4cking underrated masterpiece from the 90's
Platinum Egoiste is one of those fragrances that will always have to be in my collection. For people newer to the community the bottle may put them off because of its simplistic packaging. I love that haha. I’ve actually never smelled anyone wearing this aside form myself. Great review Aaron.
Bleu Parfum you have a 10. Platinum Egoiste a 10 and Edition Blanche a 9. You know you’re dealing with a fantastic fragrance house with those scores from Aaron.
The nostalgia with this fragrance is off the scale for me. When I was in my early twenties and enjoying the club scene Notorious BIG released a song called "Nasty Girl" and one of the lyrics is "Platinum chanel cologe...ing, I stay... dressed to impress, spark this b*tches interest" and it was the biggest song at the time. I remember thinking what "aftershave" (thats what I called it then) is he talking about so I bought it and have forever loved it. This will never leave my collection.
Hey Jay Was that a biggie smalls song I’m curious because I think I just heard that song for the first time four days ago. Lol Either way this was my favorite dress up nighttime cologne or for any kind of work parties. My girlfriend another time and all of her friends loved it. That’s when I was in my early 20s as well.
After watching a lot of reviews over the weeks I always come back to you Aaron because you just share your opinion about perfumes so uniquely and interesting. Always so much background information that you learn to love and understand those fragrances on another level.
I have been wearing this fragrance for years. 3/4 through my 3rd bottle. Not strong a projection, but the fragrance clings to my skin for 6+ hours. Definitely a reapply through out the day option. I receive lots of compliments with this one. Great review, as always, Aaron.
This is one of the most important perfumes in my collection. It was my first serious perfume. I received my first bottle in 1995 on my 21st birthday and I still have roughly 20ml left. I use it only on special occasions. I have gone through a couple more bottles over the years. It was in fact, my wedding scent too. It was my signature scent until 1998 when my wife decided I needed to broaden my horizons 🤣 And that was truly the beginning of my love of perfumes 😁 I'm glad you enjoy it too Aaron ☺️ My original bottle does last a good 6-8 hrs.... Newer bottles are not as long lasting but maintain the scent profile IMO 🙂
We got a “love” and a 10!!! This is a keeper for me, too. If you love this, get your nose on Nishane B-612. I wear Egoiste and B-612 quite often…both in the same family. Great video, Aaron!

@@scent_jeannie it happens to every fragrance. It's nothing new. Gotta respect it and continue to use it. No sense letting fragrances be put to a stop because people don't like the change.
Aaron I tried this cologne at a local perfumery 5 years ago and wasn't fond of it so I bought Bleu de Chanel which was a safe purchase, but after watching this review and your enthusiasm I will have to revisit this cologne once again and perhaps my nose will have matured enough for a purchase.Really enjoy your intelligent reviews and the science behind them
Amazing video as well, I love how detailed the description is, how each element is taken in consideration. I implore you, do a review of the new Tom Ford fragrance, Ébène Fumé. Thank you for your content!
This used to be my go to scent during the late nineties early 2000s. At the time it was a unique smell that ladies and men loved. Thanks for the throwback memories x❤️
A true MASTERPIECE in men's fragrance! One of those fragrances that changed the game. Released in 1993, Notorious BIG's signature scent when he first started making money and shopping for luxury. Still smells good even after reformulation. The base of Egoiste is the base for Bleu de Chanel. Best clone is 'Hugo Boss - Green' for only $20 bucks!
Thank you Aaron for your review... Got to agree with the way you explained, the feeling is mutual.... one that can fall under the radar due to new fragrances always coming out pushing a classical midway oldie behind!.... one that is stuck in the middle between past and present. I love this perfume and have this. Longevity is great!
Brilliant! I love Platinum Egoiste and feel it's very underrated in the community. Especially with some people saying it makes you smell like Euro trash and I roll my eyes at those comments. If you can get your hands on the OG Egoiste Cologne Concentree that one is a treat. If I remember correctly, it has Mysore sandalwood in it. The modern EDT of the OG Egoiste is still nice, but nothing compared to the concentree. Glad you enjoyed this one!
I love this one also. I read a comment somewhere saying that this fragrance is beautiful at any time but becomes absolutely spiritual in the heat. I completely agree, having worn it for a while now. Lines up to buy a coffee a few weeks back and everyone in the line (6 or more people) gave me massive compliments... rather embarrassed :D I couple of extra sprays on skin and clothes makes the longevity go to 6+hrs for me. Thanks Aaron, I love your reviews even if I rarely disagree I always learn something.
I wear this often. I agree, the other Chanel mens fragrances have little longevity and are a bit samey. Really love your incredible reviews. Thank you.

I love this too! A classic 90's barbershop aromatic fougere made modern with massive ammounts of hedione and geraniol. You should also try the original Égoïste it's even better.
