  • Last week we looked at the Person of the Holy Spirit. This week we look at the critical work of the Holy Spirit in Sanctifying us by Adoption. It is our adoption that is the critical link in us becoming obedient sons.

Dr. Baucham continues to hit it out of the park, reminding us constantly of our arrogance inspite of the true #Gospel!

First and foremost Praise be to Almighty God and Lord Jesus Christ for everything. It took me a few sermons to warm up to pastor Voddie due to his bold and convicting style of preaching but he does indeed preach the word as it is. Unadulterated. Thank you for the post.

It is impossible to speak on EVERYONE ELSE'S behalf on the matter of who IS and who ISN'T a child of the living God.
Just like all of us, Rev Baucham has much to learn.
    Thank you, God.
    Thank you, Rev Baucham.

What does he need to learn exactly?

@@futuresite11 I hear you brother. Well, he is a faithful messenger. The Bible is strong, so Voddie is strong. Of course there are exceptions. It's like not going to a local church. I did that for years being disillusioned with most churches. I would hear sermons touching on this, I knew it was wrong to not attend. The preachers that I heard it from were just being faithful to the word. I don't think Voddie would say that if I am not attending somewhere on a regular basis that I must not be a true believer because of that.
I actually got to meet him last Friday evening and Saturday morning. He is a very humble man, but he is passionate about the Lord. He isn't rough around the edges. He knows that he isn't perfect, as none of us are.
Thank you for responding, it's all good, have a great evening!
Let me add just a little. I told him when I met him, that he was my second favorite preacher, next to John Mac. I have to say after seeing him and some brief words and being able to joke with him, seeing him taking time for people, that he would never meet again, people that were "nobodies", in the sense that they were just other regular believers and not a group of big shot preachers like you would see on a ligonier conference panel. The way he treated me and everyone else, he is now by far my favorite preacher.

@@doug2993 And he is my favorite teacher also.
And I was only issuing CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Not DESTRUCTIVE.
The same way I would want someone to do me. If You see me making a misstep, please correct me.
I seek the Face of God my Father.
And none of us are perfect.
      None, not one.
