- Hey! So This is what you've all been asking for, more videos of Teddy and Milo's love hate relationship. Milo likes the chase really but he still has to show Teddy who is boss! It's so funny to watch as Milo is completely chill with him if he wants to lay beside him or sniff him but the moment Teddy gets excited, Milo bops into action, quite literally!
Milo regularly sneaks over to Teddy when he is tired or sleeping to sniff him too. Poor Teddy just wants to be friends and play all the time!

For anyone who hasn't thought about it, a cat living with a large dog(s) has to establish boundaries for its own safety. Think of the size difference. The sweetest pupper in the world can injure a smaller animal even while playing or trying to be affectionate. Milo's not being mean. He's setting the guidelines for what will become a real friendship.💙

Milo is honestly the most reasonable cat I've ever seen with a puppy. Protects his personal space and asserts himself but doesn't seem overly upset in the slightest.

I love how Phil and Niko protect their baby brother Milomute. Milo was just a kitten with them, so they knew to be gentle, and they all formed a huge bond. Teddy will learn lol Sooner or later

It seems that Milo is tolerating Teddy more and more as they learn about each other. If they can stay on the same couch without Milo hissing and attacking, that is progress. Milo obviously needs his space and doesn’t like to be chased
Milo is exerting seniority, he’s no fool. He’s watched the others grow and knows how to survive. Domestication does not trump instinct. Having said that , Milo knows his place. Just observe how he behaves with Mia! Forget about!

I find it fascinating to watch the relationship between Milo and the three dogs, Teddy in particular, as he finds his place within the hierarchy. Love the fact that the owners don't get involved, but leave their pets to sort it out between themselves. I could watch them all day!! 😺🐺😊

Nico is kind of like the mediator for the two of them in the extra long clip. Milo trusts Nico more so he’s less hostile towards Teddy

Teddy is growing into a very nice 🐕. I believe if Teddy had not gone into your household and did without the guidance and direction of Phillip and wisdom of Niki he would be a totally different dog.
All three of you are really great with your animals and they respect you for it.

U guy's have done a fantastic job teaching u'r family member's (pets) 2 be genuinely loyal/respectful/gentle & compassionate w/each other - its a beautiful thing 2 see! If we trust in the gift if discernment God gave 2 each of us we can tell allot about another person's character by how they treat animal's or how they treasure/respect/appreciate the natural world around them : )

Their is definitly nothing wrong with Milo's confidence, he's the smallest pet but his confidence is huge.
I've seen Niko's (Nico's)protective action for my own dog. She stepped in between him & an aggressing male dog, told that other dog "No," leave the new one alone, he's My Friend & he's too gentle for you. She was the same breed as your Nico, and I miss her like crazy. Such a marvelous being, she was. I live this breed almost as much as I loved my Keeshond. When I miss him most, your 3 lift my spirit up every time I watch. Thank you for your videos!

So interesting.Impressed with Milo being so interested in keeping her dominant position while aware of her own safety with Teddy's excitability factor , especially re positions and items like the corner stand (Teddy recognises this spot as valuable too) then extending to being next to the doggie water bowl(Milo implies, "you get to drink if I let you").Then on Teddy's bed so her scent will be over it, while knowing it's his bed and will need to let him have it.Poor Teddy recognises that Milo is younger unlike the other 2 older dogs and so badly wants to get her to play. You're right Nico isn't really protecting Milo, but despite never having her own pups is very much a mother dog. Like she is supervising Milo and Teddy from going too crazy and knows that Teddy is still more a baby just wanting to play and risking a not fully deserved scratch from Milo. Nico did encourage Teddy's diversion to toys as safer for all.Plus good Phil is prepared to protect Milo as well.Their relationships seem promising though.

It's almost as if sometimes Milo makes a little play gesture, but Teddy takes it as a threat and so backs off. But then we Teddy comes back and looks like he wants to pounce on Milo (playfully), it's Milo who's not quite sure if this is play or aggression (even though Teddy's tail is wagging).
So much us Humans can learn from these pets , as different as we are we can still live and share the same environment , we disagree , confront each other but no hatred , no harm .

Always in a pack that involve a cat with dogs, the cat will be the dominant, the leader or the boss of the pack, this is something that I saw few years in a episode of The Dog Whisperer. Niko & Phyl know that Milo is the boss there and that's the reason Milo put the authority or to learn to Teddy that he is the boss.

Cats don't like sudden movements that's why they react defensive. Adult cats also "discipline" overactive kittens by holding them down and biting and grooming them.That's how cats establish hierarchy.Milo is definitely the Boss cat but he loves his family :)
