I remember the first real AK mag I got, I was fooling around with in the car, and the bottom plate slipped out and I got popped in the jaw with the loaded spring.
From one of your "söta bror" to the west. Love the content and your English is very good for a swede, better then 90% of the swedes I have seen on CZcams. I am fresh to the world of airsoft but I love making stuff look more real.I also have a LC-3 and your video on the AK4 gave me a lot of useful tips on my work making a AG-3. Looked around for help on turning mid cap internals more milsim friendly and never found any videos. LC-3 only has 140 round mags and for stuff like Berget you should have 100 or less rounds(unless you want to tape/mark your magazines but that's ugly), I already figured out how to do it myself but I recommend making a video on it if you are trying to grow your channel. I see you haven't posted much but it is great work and I would love to see more of your work.
Hi, I followed your technique with a Izmash Bakelite AK47 magazine and it worked a treat!!! So, thank you so much for this video because without it, I wouldn't have even tried to do it!
Thats really cool! I wish mass produced actual bakelite airsoft mags existed, i love the look of bakelite but i cant do an airsoft conversion bc bakelite mags are expensive and 30 round mags are banned where i live
Ill post a more detailed demovid later on when i do a series of guns i have allready built. But it will take some time since i need to focus on completing other projects i have open. One thing at a time :)
Hi! I have this kind of project to do someday! Seeing you doing this gave me courage to do another projects, like converting electric airsoft guns to gas gus, as they're much more realistics ( I think... ) and use real steel parts to improve the realism on some replicas. Do you have a place where we could share infos?? 1000 thanks for the video!!
Great to hear. Anything can be made with the right will power! I share most of my knowledge here or at Facebook and insta. I try to answer as much as I get time.
I'm planning on making some Metro Last Light 5.45 mags with the look through magazine where you can see the rounds. The idea of the picture inside the magazine to make it look like there are rounds in it is an awesome idea. Could you possibly share the files for that or tell me how you did it?
Yes it is and I've just done it today following this video. I used a dremel though with a metal cutting wheel but other than that followed the instructions exactly. So you know because I didn't, bakelite magazines have an internal metal skin that you won't see until you start cutting so it does take a while! Have fun and enjoy because your gun will look brilliant!!!!
Razorback Max thanks you for the advice ! I have my metal mags but I’ve abandonned because it’s hard to get non neutralized mags in my country, but I might find a way anyhow 🙂
I don’t have any of the required tools accept maybe a hand file, is that enough? If not in the future I might be willing to buy some 762 bakes and send them your way, Real Fake Guns.
Which 5.45 mags fit in the Bakelite real AK mag shells? The LCT does not (to wide front) and cyma that is coming also not i think. For 762 mags no issues, but for my 74u i do
Hi I'm new to your channel and would like to use an original bakelite magazine in orange for my LCT AK-74N. Would it be possible if you try the whole video again with an AK-74 bakelite magazine? The end result looks very good and I like your AK too. Here you have a subscription from me. I wish you a nice Weekend! 🙂
I have seen it done. But some brands have too long internals. Not sure which is which with 74. But might get more room if you don’t use the real spring.
Nästa gång du ska köpa plast magasin testa att kolla brownells dom ligger i Sverige eller FK Sport (DAE) som ligger i Sthlm för då slipper du dyra frakt kostnader
This seems like it’d be fun to do, but I wonder if it’d be legal in my country (Canada, we CAN have full-length magazines... but they have to have a pin in them limiting them to 5 (10 for pistols, limitless for rimfire rifle) rounds), so I wind up wondering how a Canadian airsofter would go about doing this without the RCMP kicking down their door. Perhaps modifying the feed lips, spring and follower enough to render it inoperable for real ammunition would be suitable (the idea being that one can’t simply restore it to working order for real firearms by tossing in a new follower/spring since the body of the magazine wouldn’t be able to hold it in), but *_I wouldn’t take that risk without some legal advice,_* so I won’t try it just yet). Regardless, it seems like an incredibly nice project to do to enhance that sweet, sweet realism factor. Good stuff.
Real Fake Guns Pretty late response on my part, but you’re probably right. I feel the best bet would be to buy a 5.45x39 (74/105) and/or 7.62x39 (47/M/103?) dummy round to test if the feed lips can still retain ammunition while shaving off the lips before removing the pin. If it can’t keep the round in, it’s likely inoperable as a proper magazine. Of course, the downside is having an extra, unrealistic hole in my desired magazine... but that’s fine.
@@ThatOneFriendlyDude SUPER LATE response but idk if it’s different here in California, it is illegal to even possess it in the first place. So you can’t buy or order it most websites will not ship here.
@@fxnfallen1471 If I had to guess, your state probably doesn't allow mags that are just 30-rounders pinned to only hold 10 rounds - meanwhile in Canada, most common autoloader mags are just standard-capacity mags with cheap rivets put in to stop the follower from descending past it - so in theory, you can go from pinned magazine to nonfunctional pinned magazine to nonfunctional magazine legally
