It's looks largely unchanged or improved in my personal opinion.
@Danny P For a $70 price tag on next gen each year, I would like a legitimate effort by EA for improved graphics to player models, more releastic physics, new animations to everything, shots, checks, dives, passes. I would like some more features in the game modes, maybe a more engaging career mode where you feel like there is a story happening. Like a player with a background and a history. Any of that would be great and kind of expected in my opinion in this day and age for that price tag in NHL 23. It seems like the most they did here was add women to HUT and make the menus and interface a bit more fancier and colorful.

NHL 23 improvements may not be huge, but is it even necessary? I think the graphics are quite ok and it's enough to play. But how some argue here are completely incomprehensible and exaggeratedly wrong. Btw. amazing and crisp 4k quality thanks.

The skating still looks off to me. It looks like they’re running vs skating sometimes. But it does look good.
NHL 23 is the the new NHL 14
I don't know how people play with the beam highlights for passing and also the hot cold zones on the goalie net. That totally kills it for me. You should try it without it. Much more fun and realistic and more immersive

At the very beginning of the game you can see the names of Boston's attacking line but not Chicago's. Why is the box on the left missing in NHL 23 Xbox Series x ? It's there on the Playstation version.
Is there anything I can do about it, or can it be turned off entirely?
The lights popping up for pass options and shit is really annoying...

Questo gioco è un disastro. Il problema principale è sempre il gameplay. Portieri che danno l'impressione di non essere mai e poi mai sorpresi da nessun tiro. Intelligenza artificiale della cpu ridotta all'osso. Tanti piccoli particolari che rendono vero l'hockey tralasciati di proposito. Telecamere fisse che non possono mai essere modificate a piacere. Paletta cromatica irreale , sembrano bambolotti. E poi il vero problema l'impossibilità di fare gol che quando arriva sembra per una faccenda script più che di bravura. Questo gioco andrebbe riscritto da zero ma senza concorrenti la EA si limita a abbindolare qualche pollo. Serie destinata a MORIRE
