- Welcome back to another exciting episode of our Colvic Watson 35 restoration project! Today, we're diving deep into the engine room as we tackle some crucial tasks. Join us as we carefully remove the engine from its mounts to gain access underneath. Years of wear and tear have taken their toll, with epoxy poured over the concrete ballast causing cracks that need immediate attention.
But that's not all! With the engine out of the way, we're seizing the opportunity to conduct a thorough inspection and service. We'll be removing the shaft coupling and even taking out the rudder for a complete assessment. It's all about ensuring that every aspect of our beloved vessel is in top-notch condition.
Stay tuned as we document every step of this challenging yet rewarding journey. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell to be the first to catch the next installment of our Colvic Watson 35 restoration saga!

Surprising under the engine has been bodged so many times, hope all goes well with the install. Cheers 🍻
Thank you Paul definitely a big job but needs to be right ⛵️⛵️
There’s a Watson called Big Anne…worth a look
Thank you will take a look ⛵️
Hi guys. As the engine is out would it be a good idea to take it completely out of the boat and refurbish it. All the bodge jobs done to it over its life time can be sorted. Yes it runs but for how long? If you are going to do it now is the time as once out you can have room to properly clean and paint the engine room. Enjoying the channel as a new subscriber
Thanks for subscribing to the channel, that would definitely be the best idea as would be much easier to work in the engine room with engine out of the way, looking forward to getting the engine room ship shape, as you can see one job always leads to the next 🤣 nothing is ever simple in the boating world, thanks for your support ⛵️⛵️⛵️
