His very best song to me that is. Check out his cover of the Allman Brothers hit, "Whipping Post" and you will see him stretch his talent. He lets it all hang out. The original Allman Brother, Greg is in the audience for that performance and gives him a standing ovation. Not mainstream but needs to be seen if you are a Chris fan!

His Presence is his voice, it's captivating and it's incredible and is hands down thee best thing I've ever heard live. Cant wait to see him again next year in Dublin.
He has been called one of the most humble performers in the industry. He is multi-genre talented and does mostly things he has written like, "Cold"; "White Horse" live at CMA's; "I Was Wrong" live at Austin City. It's quite the rabbit hole to fall down! Once you hear him, you want to hear ALL of his stuff! I must say that I prefer his live performances to the studio stuff, but I think it's just the studios. Have fun! 😊
I don't even listen to country music anymore, for a few different reasons. Chris is just amazing! He's a beast! Truly gifted artist.
"White Horse" from 2023 CMAs
He sang new one with his wife, morgane, at CMA 2023 awards this year by name of White Horse. It's awesome. Try a listen to his song/video called Fire Away. Will break your heart but it's focused on bringing awareness to mental health. Also, his song, I Was Wrong at Bing Theater. Those all are really great! Thank you for your reaction and all of us go, "Ooooh" like you do when he sings. We can't help ourselves.

Stapleton is one of the greats. But I still want him to co-write and perform with Adele that would blow the minds , ears and radio's up like a nuclear bomb.

Chris is great with the arrangements. It's little things that mean a lot. To the song and to old school principles. At the end of the song the chord progression steps down from the six chord (Bb) to the five chord (A maj) and the mind is waiting for the progression to resolve back to the root (d). But it doesn't. The song's question "Why you got to be so cold"? isn't resolved. There's no release of the tension and so the he doesn't allow a comforting conclusion to the music either. It's left hanging...Unresolved.
This would be a great song for a Bond film.
