He started to gasp, stress, and lay down. The video is edited, in the bottom right corner we see the timestamp jump 2 mins and he is deadly still. His feathers being ruffled by the wind, which only minutes before were on a living being. Now just an object. The other video I saw was nearly identical. The largest, brave chuck started to fight before his throat was grabbed by the hawk, and he was the first to die before the hawke moved on and killed his siblings, eating from them while they were still alive. I accept nature but the terrible reward for such innocent courage bothers me. I hope there's a bird heaven for that little guy.
The one that got flipped caused it to fall forward cause of its struggling in so allowing the hawk to get the literally a death grip...the one that got flipped was a waste of feathers!

The osprey chicks were large enough to resist the goshawk to any degree, so the three birds could have fought it off if they had worked together to attack the goshawk. If the parent birds had joined them, they would not have been killed.... Crows have that wisdom, but ospreys do not....

Osprey may have injured during the fight and fallen down with injuries. Mean time Fox was on the way had chance to killed Osprey and was eating it. So Raven gave up Osprey to the fox and had returned to nest again as evidence was, Raven had been Osprey feathers on its mouth. It injured/killed two chicks, on the process found a piece of fish and taken away. The video focused on nest and it cruel . Why Mum (Osprey) did not return to nest during the cruel ? the answer was,

I love how one of them sits on top of its brethern or sisters to make sure the hawk cant fly off even when its trying to push him off very brave.

It’s not “trained”. The legs of babies are banded. Those are the only ones they can band for research. These birds are completely wild.
These are wild birds. Rings are placed on chicks. Hawk is not trained, he follows his instinct.
