Bri I am here with you with the Fenty relationship being on thin ice. They do keep releasing the shades in new formulas. I’m ready for powder blushes, a pink setting powder, lip liners, brown mascara, a gripping primer, and a setting spray. If it ain’t lip liners I don’t want another lip product for a while.

Giving it some thought, now that people aren't into super bold makeup anymore, Fenty isn't releasing crazy colors like what they did with the Mattemoiselles. People just want makeup they can throw on and go without too much thought, especially after the pandemic. I do agree that they're wasting time with not coming out with a lip liner and powder blushes. I know cream blushes are super popular right now but can the oily girls get something too?
I completely agree with all your points..can we have some different shades please. That formula is beautiful but adding a purple, maroon or orange (as someone mentioned) would have been great. Thanks for your review!

I think she isn't doing any fun colors or new colors because when she did release them the first few drops. literally no one bought them and people were like who would wear these colors. When she first released everything was super colorful and fun but no one bought it. Galaxy etc.
At the time of the release though, it was new and fresh and people were still familiarising themselves with the brand, now that they’ve built their rep, she needs to push out innovative products and since many releases have been really good so far, they have so much room to be more colourful, and maybe bring out a collab. The galaxy palette was beautiful but wrong timing, I absolutely love the mattemoiselle lipsticks, if she does mini ones of those with a matching lipliner gift set, I am on it. Or even starter trios with a mini gloss.
I actually brought one of the fun colors & was very disappointed. It didn't show on my lips ( the orange one) & didn't stay put either. I also brought the lip stain & again, it came off as quickly as I put it on.
I think you’re so pretty and naturally funny. And yes I think her colors are very similar and I also looove the red Stubbs lip paint although I never noticed any smells. Lol, I will be subscribing you’re hilarious 😂
@@carlinabush7252 It’s a photograph and there’s lighting. I’m from the same country as Nyma Tang. Trust me when I tell you, we are some of the darkest skinned people in the world. Our South Sudanese models are even deeper. I bought two sets of Nyma’s liquid lipsticks when she collaborated with Dose of Colors. I never had anything that rich and complimentary to my skin. I use what works with my skin, not against it.
I think you kinda hit the nail on the head when you mentioned “wearable” shades. Wondering why they look similar to other releases . And I think the point is that the average consumer is buying and wearing wearable shades . Ultimately when you think of shade range when it comes to what’s wearable across all shades and all skin tone there isn’t much room for differentiation. Hence why IMO we see the same shades😂. A few shades of pinks darker pinks pinky browns reds and deeper shades of brown and red . So IMO I don’t think I was shocked or surprised by what was released. I’m not wearing purples and oranges and other unique shades on a daily basis

Thank you for your honest review! I was thinking the same thing about this release why release these when you have the stunna liquid lip line. I miss the fun colors in the MATTEMOISELLE line but didn’t love the formula. I know it was a bullet lipstick but I felt the formula got everywhere. I wish they have more fun with lip colors.

I agree… I love the foundation but it oxidises so bad, I turn orange after a while and I don’t like it since I love wearing bronzer so im basically looking muddy all day. The concealors should get a reformulation to be more soft matte than really matte .. and they should really focus on their least selling and less known products, such as the brow products which I don’t really hear about, or her eye liner.
I have the stunner and just got the mvp and I have to say that the formula and look is not the same . The lip stunna is wet and this is smooth and dryer in my opinion. I love the mvp and will keep ❤️
I agree 100%. I’ve been so annoyed with the brand and this weird direction they’re going. Whoever they have making these decisions needs to be demoted. It’s crazy how much they’re NOT LISTENING to their customers. I’m still waiting for her to come out with a new hydrating Foundation and Concealer
@JadeEnid Exactly, I don’t understand why they took it away instead of adding hydrating concealer to go with it. Everything on the MakeUp side of Fenty is now geared towards Semi Matte and it’s extremely annoying. Bring back the Hydrating Foundation, add the Hydrating Concealers, some Pressed Powders…

they really dropped the ball on this. no one wants a lipstick formula that slides around. I agree, none of the shades are adding to my collection. I own almost every other fenty lip product & shade, so to me this is very redundant. They should’ve added shades onto their icon and stunna lip collections or finally given us lip liners! I love this luxe packaging but I wish they would’ve done more shades in the existing lipsticks, those formulas are perfect.

Yes! My thoughts exactly! The shades are the same in everything! Hello Fenty…. there is a reason why the slip shine Vamps who brunch is always sold out! Give us some more purples. I can’t find a good purple in Fenty except for Vamps who brunch. The stunna lip paints dried my lips out so bad and that purple is almost black. Honestly, Vamps who brunch is drying too but the color is so beautiful, I deal with it. That’s another thing I want, a good cream to powder for all skin types. But it doesn’t matter I guess, because I wouldn’t have a shade in it anyway since they won’t put something in between 385 and 390 or a 384 even. The lip bombs are the very best thing I have ever put on my lips though, love those.

I love the dusty pinks as a brown gal myself… I’m probably one shade lighter than u. I always use Mac plum lipliner on dusty pinks or mauves. U r right about the lipliner and powder blush bc every eyeshadow has been a epic fail so don’t attempt that right now. U can forget the album fr fr now bc she’s preggo 😂😂😂
As much as I love Rihanna and Fenty Beauty….I was disappointed with the liquid lipsticks launch. I get it that not as many people are into super bold and crazy liquid lipstick shades like before…..but the shade range for this launch just wasn’t it. Like genuinely speaking, the only shade that us black people can truly use and look kind of good in, is the brown shade but even with that….we would still have to mix it with something. Even the Stunna Lip Paints which were much smaller in packaging, had way more shades.
I’m sorry but for the longest all she ever came out with was weird sparkly bs. I’m like girl when do you ever wear this? I hated that era, this may be repetitive but it’s more wearable.
Unpopular opinion, I’m not really a huge fan of this line. I have a bronzer, a cream lipstick and a lipgloss and that’s it. The foundation doesn’t work for (maybe it was my skin, my skin is oily). Estée Lauder double wear is my holy grail.
I too only got 3 shades, bread win’r HBIC & riri I skipped mvp cuz like i got That in the semi matte formula & i am ALWAYS in the comments begging for fun colors bcuz the line has gotten safe. I want unique, like i can tell Rihanna personality isn’t in her line like she was in the very beginning.

Her makeup artist mentioned that the are redoing the formula for better usage so they are bringing it back eventually!
There is so much other makeup out there....give them a shot..Rihanna wont die over it
