- in this video I'm going to show you how i create infinite generative pads that sound like the Indie pop sound textures in the background of numerous 1975 songs. We'll dive into sound selection, effects like reverb and delay, and making Ableton midi devices for note generation.

Hi, I'm Seth, I've been Songwriting & Producing music for the past 10 years. I made this channel because I couldn't find any music production tutorials in my niche on guitar based pop that actually broke down specific songs from artists like the 1975, LANY, Muna, etc. Every week i make an instrumental from scratch in the specific style of a popular guitar-based pop song and show you how I recreated it. I show you my sample selection, production tricks, guitar tones, mixing chains, mastering plugins, all of it. I've worked with many artists in bringing their creative ideas into the real world. I've worked on projects for Warner Music Group and three songs I've written (and two I've produced) have made it onto Spotify-Curated Playlists (Love Pop, OPM Workday Marathon, & New Music Friday Philippines, Cozy Christmas Pop).

The VCV rack seems really cool, thanks for the video
No problem!
Wow that really beautiful sound
You definitely are not getting the views or attention you deserve, but just know there are so many of us who really appreciate the content you're putting out. I swear it's like you read my mind, there's always a video exactly for what I'm looking for. Thanks for everything you do! And gotta agree with the comments, more sound design if and when you have the time :_
exactly well said bro
I would love more sound design videos! Definitely enjoyed this one!
What I like about your videos is you explain the technical process in a clear way that shows your musical training. There are so many videos that just seem completely random and amateur and it is so refreshing to watch your well structured and informed videos.
This was incredible. Super helpful. Thank you!
Glad you found it helpful!
Heavily underrated channel.. Amazing stuff.
Brilliant tutorial, more sound design stuff would be great

Instead of routing your send to a track you can just enable sends on the returns(right click on the return track send knob-enable send/enable all sends) to allow you to feed other returns or feedback into the same return.
