    30:00 Another tip. Raise your plastic bucket up closer to the level of the glass jug as you near the bottom and the liquid will flow slower thus reducing the chance of disturbing the charcoal.

    40:20 As long as the open end of the siphon tube is above the surface of the liquid in the bucket nothing will flow because water does not flow uphill. Keep the end of the siphon in this position while you bring the glass jug up to the tube, then place the end of the tube inside the glass jug and lower it to the floor. The liquid will then flow with no spillage.

    8:45 Here's a tip from a professional Chemist, do not set your thermometer down in your beaker when measuring temperatures. It should always be suspended in the liquid otherwise the temperature of the beaker will affect your measurement.

    Bit late to the party.... Instead of putting in the colouring and Flavour, would it be OK to infuse fruit in it?

      Hi. You need to add finings and then the activated charcoal to clear the sugar wash. Then after it has cleared, then you add the cherry brandy flavouring. Hope this helps

    great video, but can this be distilled? and would you do it before adding the flavor?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Před 8 lety +1

      I suppose it could be...
      And I would image that it should be done before the flavouring is added, yes.

    I notice you didn’t use a airlock when fermentation in the bucket for 2 weeks does this matter?

  • @chrisnoskillsexperienceday9421

    How much glycerin would you recommend to use? Kit says 65ml to 100ml?

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Před 4 lety

      Its to taste. So add 50ml then taste.

    Is this brewing sugar or normal house hold sugar? at 6:25.

    • @Brewbitz
      @Brewbitz  Před 7 lety +1

      You can use either. But, normal sugar has a flavour. It can add a sweet tang to the brew.
      Making this since, I've used brewing sugar for the fermentation & regular sugar for sweetening at the end.
