Onew is the member missing in Juice due to being on a health hiatus. I’m not sure if you know but Jonghyun unfortunately passed away in 2017. 🕊️ I would love you to watch Onew and Jonghyun’s live duet “Please Don’t Go”. They are both known as the best vocalists in kpop so it’s crazy they are in the same group! They have the perfect blend of beautiful voices in this duet ❤️

Honestly, it's quite hard to choose one for everyone, especially since they have quite a few in their repertoire, but I see some great recommendations and I think you'll be able to pick something up
You said you like Jonghyun voice and you also said Taemin’s voice is recognizable. Well, that’s because Jonghyun is the one who worked with Taemin. Taemin had no lines in Replay and Jonghyun with him continuously. Taemin still has Jonghyun’s mannerisms still. His style and vocals etc. Jonghyun helped and Taemin’s hard work. Shinee was built around Jonghyun originally. He and Taemin knew each other since Taemin was 11.
For the Juice MV shot Onew was taking a break due to his health. Jonghyun is no longer with us as of 2017. This performance of "Excuse Me Miss" was from SHINee's SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul in 2015. However, the song was originally released in 2013. And yep, still timeless.
This is the concert where the majority of SHINee's best live performances are from, and I guarantee that your viewers will eventually request you react to every song and every stage from this concert, because that's how iconic this concert is.
If you watch this full set or, even the full concert, you will see why Jonghyun goes into that phone booth at the end. (Each of them are going to their own phone booth on stage.) They are about to perform their next song, "One minute back." And you also really need to see their performance of "Close the Door," Which they performed right before "Excuse Me Miss."
Fun fact: The live performance is an extended version of the song. If you pay attention, right before Jonghyun, "went off" what he said in English is, "This is a new bridge, listen."
SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Their main vocalists are pretty good rappers and their rappers can fill in as main vocalists at anytime. Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. Most Shawols will tell you we can tell who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with our eyes closed with them standing in a crowd of screaming fans. I can tell who is singing every line of their songs even if it's a brand new song that I have never heard. Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of theirs. That is why they are "The Princes of Kpop".
EVERY time SHINee performs a song it will be different than what you have experienced before. That is why SHINee are one of the best performers in the industry. SHINee live is just as good the 100th time you see them perform a song as they are the first time you see it because they always make it unique. You never get tired of their songs because they know how to make it seem like a whole new experience every time.
SHINee literally set the standard when it comes to live performances. It is actually known as the SHINee standard and it's what all other groups strive to reach. SHINee are Idol's Idols and legends among legends for a reason. They are one of the groups that pretty much made Kpop what it is today.
Someone has reuploaded the whole concert DVD of SHINee World Concert IV in Seoul -- the whole 3+ hours -- and it even has English subs for all the parts where they interact with the audience, right in the video, czcams.com/video/6TknOLesUc4/video.html. It really feels like you are right there at this concert. You should watch this whole concert sometime on your own, even if you can't react to it. :D You really can't fully grasp just how magnificent of performers SHINee are until you watch a full concert from beginning to end and see what makes a SHINee concert so unique.

And that is why Minho was literally voted best abs in Asia and was named one of the 12 hottest men in the world by Vogue magazine in the U.S. in 2015. He really won a real award for his abs. This performance of "Dynamite" in particular -- which also is from their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul from 2015 -- is super iconic. He really wasn't supposed to take his shirt all the way off. If you see any other performance of this song, you will see that all he does is unbutton his shirt, but during this performance he got so swept up in the moment that he just took his shirt all the way off. Which even shocked the other members. (And just so you know, he can't put his shirt back on because it would take too much time and effort and they aren't done with this set, they go right into their next song after this. So, Minho finishes the set with just his jacket on and one button holding it closed.)
However, the thing about Minho is, although he does have to work to maintain his abs, it's not that hard for him because he is an athlete. He says these days he goes to the gym a couple of times a day to work out just because he likes working out. But he is also crazy about soccer, and he plays basketball, baseball and golf, and he is good at track and field events, etc, so really his body is the product of all the sports he enjoys playing as well. Minho's father is a professional minor league soccer coach/manager for a living, so Minho got his love of soccer and sports from his dad.
And not only does Minho enjoy playing sports, but he is usually the best athlete on the field and he pretty much wins every time. There is a reason why Minho's nickname is "Flaming Charisma" -- his intense passion for sports and his need to always win makes it almost impossible to beat him in any competition. His drive to be the best is so well known in the industry that everyone wants him on their team.
But if you saw all the SHINee members without their shirts on you would discover they all have amazing bodies, even Onew, who is the "old man" of the group and never shows off his body because he doesn't want to have to put any extra effort into it. But I guarantee that they all have amazing physiques. You probably will never see Onew without his shirt on, he is the only member who has never done anything on camera that would require him to take his shirt off or to show off his abs. However, the members have said that Onew has "monster abs" which means he is really ripped just like the rest of the members, but he is too modest to ever show his body off in public. Even when he has been swimming on TV programs, he wears a shirt, wetsuit or rash guard. However, there is a clip of Jonghyun doing pull ups in the gym without his shirt on that would blow you away if you saw it. (Just wait until you see Jonghyun perform "Moon" in concert, czcams.com/video/ozpcEBQ-j4g/video.html.)
When you think about it, they all have to be that fit in order to be able to do all that they do -- to be able to sing and sound flawless while performing the choreography that they do, and to do it for hours straight, makes it so they are required to stay in shape. SHINee are known for the fact that they always sing live, so they have to be in top shape in order to dance like that while maintaining stable vocals the whole time. If you watch a full concert you will soon see that they can dance this intensely for 4 or 5 songs in a row and never sound out of tune, and then hold a conversation with the audience imminently after and they still won't sound out of breath.

Fun fact: SHINee's "Marry You" (BTW, you have the title of this song wrong in your title on this reaction video) is part of a trilogy. The story starts with their debut song "Replay" in 2008, where they have a crush on an older woman; it then continues in 2015 with their song "Love Sick," where they confess their love to the girl and start a relationship; and then in 2021 they propose to the girl in their song "Marry You." If you read the lyrics to all three songs, you will see similarities in the lyrics that connect them all together to make one complete story. :D
This performance is part of a special showcase SHINee did called The Ringtone, which was part of their Don't Call Me promotions. It was a celebration for the fact that they were finally making a comeback after 3 years now that Onew, Key and Minho were discharged from the military. It's called "Ringtone" because their title track for this comeback was "Don't Call Me" so it was making reference to a ringtone for a phone, as well as the double meaning ring-tone as a reference to their new song "Marry You". Plus, it also represents that SHINee's symbol is a diamond (like a diamond ring) and the showcase is setting the tone for this comeback, etc.
SHINee are known for their harmonies, that is one of their many claims to fame. No one harmonizes like SHINee. Their five-part harmony is one of the best in the industry.
That's why SHINee are known as CDNee or CD-eaters because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do in their studio recordings. That's why Shawols always say you need to see SHINee perform their songs live, because SHINee live is 300 times better than any of their recordings.
The ONLY thing SHINee is not good at is lip syncing, so when you hear SHINee sing, 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between fans and the members that you can tell when SHINee are lip syncing because they are so bad at it, that is why they avoid it at all costs. (If you ask any of the members, what is something you are not good at? One of the very first things they will say is, "I am horrible at lip syncing." -- I have heard the members say this multiple times with my own ears.)
Yes, over the years they have become better at lip syncing than they used to be, but now they have gained the reputation as the group that always sings live, so unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, what you will hear is live vocals.

All the members vocals are highlighted differently in SHINee's songs now because they all have to cover what would normally have been Jonghyun's parts in the song. When preparing for their "Don't Call Me" comeback the members all said that this album really made them realize how important the role of a main vocalist was to their songs and how much they missed Jonghyun. Taemin and Onew are the ones that have really stepped in as SHINee's main vocalists now, which means that they have had to redistribute all the parts of their songs, which is why you notice Key's and Minho's voices more now than in their older songs because they are singing a lot more parts in the songs.
In performances like this one, I think that you may notice all the members vocal abilities more because they have now stepped out of the shadow of Jonghyun's unbelievable vocal gymnastics. Jonghyun is no longer there to focus on. But all the members of SHINee have always been amazing vocalists. Once you see some more of each of their solo work, as well as more of their live concert performances, you will understand what I mean. There is a reason why they are called SHINee, because all the members Shine in all aspects of artistry. That's why it is said that the members of SHINee no longer have fixed roles in the group because they all can literally do it all, and they have.
SM really struck gold with this group and it will never be duplicated in this same way again. SHINee are a one-of-a-kind group.

In SHINee's "Juice" performance video, I think the "sun" is supposed to remind you of a giant orange. The song is called "Juice," so I think the orange sphere might be designed to represent the theme of the song. We also see it turn into a red sphere and a silver crystal-like ball. LOL. I think the "sun" is changing colors and becoming more powerful to go along with how the song is getting more fierce. (And as you may have noticed, in the beginning they showed an eclipse, which could potentially be connected to SM Entertainment's SM Culture Universe storyline, but I'm not really convinced yet.)
As you can see, the lyrics of the song are a big flex about how they are at the top of the game and they have that special "juice" that makes everyone want them and fall in love with them, etc.
Fun fact: The phrase, "Incoming!!!", the laughing, and the phrase "Let's get it" in the background, as well as the phrase "Let's change the scenery, shall we" in the middle of the song, are the signature style and voice of Dem Jointz, who is one of the producers of this track, along with Kenzie who has produced a lot of SHINee's songs.
Already 15 years in the game and they are just setting out to prove that they can still hold their own and, in may cases, outdo all the youngsters in the industry today. They pretty much swept all the music shows and got all the awards with this comeback.
All the backup dancers fell down at the end because the only ones who could "survive" by the end of that performance were the SHINee members. The three still standing were Key, Minho and Taemin.
As you are discovering, SHINee are some of the best dancers in the whole industry. They started the synchronized dance trend. And they made the industry realize that if anyone else wanted to compete they needed to up their game.
Just think, when Taemin joined SM as a trainee at 11, he didn't even have any dance training -- up until then, all his skills were self-taught by watching dancers on TV shows -- and by the time he debuted less than 3 years later in 2008, he was already showing everyone that his skill level was on par with, or even surpassed, many professional dancers who had been dancing for years. That is why Taemin is now considered one of the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop. It's why he is most idols' idol and a legend even among legends.
And the fact that the other SHINee members have no problem keeping up with Taemin, just shows why SHINee are one of the top groups. That's just SHINee's natural talent.
Plus, Key actually was chosen to become an SM trainee because of his skills as a dancer. He is the SHINee member who is fastest at memorizing choreography. He has a photographic memory, so he only needs to see a dance once and he can replicate it on the spot almost better than the original. He literally knows everyone's choreography in the Kpop industry. He can fill in as a member of almost any group because he knows their song and choreography just as well, or better, than the actual members.
And although, Minho is the main rapper of the group, in fan meetings and concerts when he has a solo stage, he often does dance covers or dance performances because he is also a really good dancer.
However, what sets SHINee apart even more as a group, is they also are recognized as some of the best vocalists in the industry. SHINee are referred to as CDINee or CD-eaters, because they sound even better live then their album versions.
Even as rookies, SHINee's main vocalists -- Onew and Jonghyun -- were mentors and vocal coaches to a lot of other singers and trainees, including several members of EXO. (EXO may be considered "Vocal Kings," but SHINee are the original Vocal Kings. Which just goes to show you why they are both SM groups.)
In their "Juice" performance video Onew was unable to participate in this performance, so the other members covered his parts in the song. However, if you listen to the song on the album, you will hear Onew's voice in the song and he creates an even richer feel.
That's just SHINee for you, even when one of their main vocalists is missing, the other members can step in and cover for them and they still manage to sound and look flawless. Although each of their voices adds their own district color to their songs that can't be replaced -- to be fair, all their songs are much better with all 5 of them -- but the other members are so good, that they never look or sound like they are lacking, no matter who is covering each part of the song.

Other Idols and audio sound technicians, etc. who have witnessed SHINee performing live are always blown away, because in the parts of the song where most singers would take a break and rely on the backing track vocals to cover their voices so they can catch their breath and recover, this is where the SHINee members actually ramp it up and become their most powerful.
Therefore, in their live performance of "Juice" SHINee sounds even better than in the recorded version, all while dancing full out. What make SHINee so great is that even if they are singing a cappella while performing this high energy choreography, they sound just as flawless. That's why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive.
When SHINee debuted, they were the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing complex choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography, but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee completely changed the Kpop industry and upped the standard of what it meant to be an idol singer.

There's been a lot of debate whether "Hard" or "Juice" should be the lead/title track on SHINee''s Hard album -- SM wanted "Juice," to be the lead track, but the SHINee members insisting on "Hard." At this point, I think we all just need to trust SHINee knows what they are doing. Over the past 15 years, we have seen the SHINee members prove time and time again, that they know how to be one step ahead of the trend. For example, Jonghyun wanted his song "Deja Boo" to be his solo debut song, but SM insisted on his song "Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)." And in the end, Jonghyun was right. "Deja Boo" became so popular as a b-side track that it had SM scrambling to find ways to showcase the song, proving Jonghyun knew what he was doing. And, "View" -- which is one of SHINee's most popular songs -- wasn't even a contender for SHINee's Odd album, until Jonghyun rewrote the lyrics and the members pushed SM to make it their lead track.
In their recent "SHINee's - 15m Roadtrip comeback show", Key, Minho and Taemin revealed that they all spent a lot of extra time making sure everything felt right with their Hard album.They wanted to release the album on May 25, the day of their 15th anniversary, but things needed work. For example, there was a section in "Hard" that needed some tweaking. So, instead of just rushing to get it done, they took the time to make it perfect. Key said, that when they heard the final version of "Hard" -- which was sent to them while they were in Japan filming their special pre-release "The Feeling" MV -- his legs went numb and he knew "Hard" had to be their title track. LOL
I think the members chose wisely. Although I love "Juice" because it does a really good job of showing exactly what makes SHINee one of the best of the best, and no one can perform the way they do. However, "Hard" has a much more universally marketable/catchy sound when it comes to appealing to the mainstream public, and the choreography lends itself to being much easier to use for things like tiktok challenges, etc. than "Juice" would have been.

Ohhh if you liked Marry You then SHINee has a LOT of bsides with a similar vibe you'd love! The 1 and 1 repackage album would be right up your alley. Feel Good, Rescue, Don't Stop. Literally a masterpiece of an album. You'd probably like Alarm Clock from the Sherlock album as well, and pretty much their entire first album (Love's Way, Romantic, and Best Place specifically but the whole album is GOLD).
For solo stuff I recommend Onew's In the Whale, Key's Killer, Minho's Heartbreak, Taemin's Door and Jonghyun's Fireplace. Some of them don't have MVs but I think they're songs you'd like. I'm excited to see the rest of your SHINee journey!

Omg you reacted to Marry You I have been asking for this reaction for a while now. I hope you keep going deep into SHINee they are amazing live. They all have solo music not just Taemin so I jope you check them out. Key has awesome bsides and very different from his title songs. They are also very positive and empowering songs about loving and accepting yourself and being strong. KEY also has at least 1 all English track in everyone of his korean albums. His all English songs are Imagine, Helium. And Another Life, and Coolas. Onew has such chill music. His album Circle is very different from his bsides tracks are so relaxing to hear when you are in a calm state. Minho does R&B music so well. I highly recommend WATERFALL it is so good!

Your issue is the same as all new people discovering SHINee: you try to put them in a CATEGORY... after 2-3 songs, you think that that was their style... wrong! they do ALL STYLES, they are very different from any other K-POP group. So, you could say you like one song more than the other, but you will ALWAYS find YOUR style wth SHINee, because they can do EVERYTHING. And they do it with GREATNESS :)
