After much consideration and many requests from viewers, I've decided to make the Mothwing: IIBY PMV's Cover version public again. If it's not clear by now, the worldwide blocking situation devastated me, and at 17 I wasn't really equipped to handle the stress that came with that, so as soon as the original version became available to watch on CZcams again, I privated this video and really pushed The 1975's recording as the definitive version of this project. However, being on hiatus gave me some time to re-consider the kind of relationship I want to have with social media and fandom in general, and I came to appreciate the connection Warriors fans made with this version of IIBY in the process. Daisy Clark's voice really added something special to Mothwing, and I know lots of people agreed, so here it is again!!
I hope fans of my channel will consider both the Cover and the Original as companion pieces to each other, because that's basically what they were anyway before all my meddling and hurt feelings got in the way. And hey!! The fifth anniversary of this PMV is coming up soon anyway, so it seemed like a good time as any to publish this again. Hope ya'll enjoy!

I had to cut out the entire intro/outro to make this fit to the cover song, and the animation doesn't sync either, but there was nothing I could do about it. :( Nonetheless, for those of you who don't care for the muted version, I hope you like this version. Making this PMV has been a journey. All 18 months of it. That’s right, this took me a year and a half to complete. (Note to self: never do that again.) Just kidding! I’ll definitely have more big projects like this in the future! Just…not for a good long while. I’ve felt pretty terrible about my lack of activity on CZcams, and working on (and off) this video has been a pretty big part of that. Therefore, I plan to work on a lot of smaller projects, which equals more uploads for you guys! (Hopefully. Don’t quote me on that.) In the near future, you can expect to see speedpaints, personal art, smaller animations, storyboards and animatics, edits, and hey(!) maybe even some MAP parts! :) I hope you guys will stick with me until then! And here’s a big shoutout to the 1,521 subscribers who’ve stuck with me this long, lol. You guys are awesome! Until next time!

I remember when the first one got struck and this one had to be made. Absolutely adored the first one and was excited when it came back considering how it was made for the song. But this version has a special place in my heart too. Thank you for making it public again and I promise you both versions are loved and special in their own ways.
In the end it was truly worth all your hard work. This came out amazing and you should be incredibly proud of yourself for the effort you put in this video not only for yourself, for the fandom and even people outside of the fandom. This was really amazing. It sent thrilling chills down my spine during "Revelation." Absolutely stunning.

If you use any audio that is not your own creation you are breaking copyright laws and therefore can be fined or worse. CZcams spares you that and simply takes down the video.

I saw both versions before the copyright fiasco happened and honestly? I know the timing is a bit rushed, but I like this one better. This vocalist hits the emotional beats in a way that jives with me. and as always, you're art is amazing! I love mothwing and am glad this exists.

I like this I like how you had the cats that died show up in front of her I don't like how in the books that she still doesn't believe in StarClan’s same with cloud tail when they fought with dead clan mates right beside them. It just bothers me a bit...

I've never liked Mothwing.
I've always seen the fandom moon over her, and it always irritated me. I never saw her as very great.
But this PMV captures her incredibly well- not the fanon version I hate, but the canon version I love. I adore how you showed jayfeather finding out about her secret and mistystar realizing too. Not only is the art beautiful but so is the idea. This turned out great, thank you for this amazing thing.
To be honest, I never cared for her either. However, working on this project for so long really made me delve deep into head, her point of view, and what effect her life experiences left on her. By the end of it, I found her struggle to be very relatable and intriguing. She lost her mother and her mentor at a young age, was manipulated by her closest family member, and had her faith shattered because of it. Mothwing has become a favorite character of mine too, and I'm glad that this video spoke to you! Thanks for the comment!

I’m so happy you did this, but seriously CZcams needs to chill, it’s must be so devastating that some of the most beautiful part of the PMV had to be cut out, it seems that any video that someone actually put effort in is always removed or copyrighted for some reason. I prefer the longer video, but I MUCH prefer this singer. It strikes me as much more believably Mothwing. It honestly sounds more melancholy too, which is what I think you were hoping for.

I'm so sorry about the original, I watched it before it got taken down, it was amazing! But despite the song, muted or not, the art is absolutely beautiful! I'm glad you were able to find a way around it, because people need to see this!
I'm glad this version is back, but I still hurt for the original video. I was lucky enough to be in one of the countries where it wasn't blocked, so I had access to it the whole time.
As someone who does get attached to things being the way I'm used to them, I'm happy for all the people who get to enjoy this version the way they liked it, and I'm glad you've found a point where you feel comfortable having it up.
But even so, I'm still sorry for what happened and I hope you know there are so many people who love and appreciate all the work you put into the original version. It remains my favourite PMV to this day, and will always be so special to me.

I’ve seen a lot of PMVs, but this one is by far the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen! The detail in the environments, the expressions, the shading, everything was just perfect! Awesome job!

You've done a really really nice job of portraying the story without the viewer requiring to already know the warriors canon, your video carries itself very well on its own!! which can be tough to do with a warriors video, since the source material is so dense.

Not a M.A.P. It's an PMV (or if it had more movement it would be called an AMV), as it it was only made by one person. M.A.P stand for Multiple Animator Project.
Theres no way this is 2yrs old already, that went by FAST!! I remember i got to see the original before it was taken down from yt and remember the chills it gave me❤
You did a great job with this! Especially because you make your cats so detailed, backgrounds are beautiful and all the cats are drawn properly not just shadowed. This is just SO amazing! 😉
Your background and exposition skills are so phenomenal and add so much life to your art, they give such a 3D representation of the territories that you can really picture yourself being there. it really brings the world to life. both versions are still gorgeous and have different appeals from the vocal styles. ie. the part where mothwing witnesses the dead cat come to life again as a starclan cat and go out and fight is more powerful in this version in my own opinion, while the lipsync in the original is of course more bang on. either way this was really good and i'll likely be coming back to it to watch again repeatedly to look for the little details in the art that I would have missed the first few times around.

If it's a brown tabby, it probably is Leafpool, but she's not really in many of the shots. Mothwing actually follows Willowshine around the most in the outro, lol.

My own faith (or lack of such) is something that I consider to be a big part of myself, considering the struggle I partook in to get to this point. My family kind of always expected me to share their faith, but the more they shoved it down my throat the more I found I didn't want any part of it. Honestly coming out to them was about as hard as coming out as some form of LGBT+ to some other families. It may have led to some disagreements and arguments between me and some members of my family, but I'm determined to live the happiest life the way I want to do it.
I'm so glad we have Mothwing, someone whose struggle with their faith is a defining part of her character. Whether she's 'right' or 'wrong' in her convictions, and despite the difference in the path she went down to get to this point, this PMV has solidified her as a very special character to me.
Again, thank you. This video is gorgeous, the characters' designs and expressions are all fantastic, the backgrounds are top-notch, the moths in particular are very pleasing to look at, and your drive to complete it is very admirable.
This song is quite special to me also, for similar reasons. I won't detail too much, but I've grown to love Mothwing for her deeply relatable spiritual struggle as well.

Yes, the art is solid, but it wasn't until the end that actually showcased animation. When it did, I can say that you have what it takes.
People usually animate, thinking it's the same as their still-drawings, but then the quality of the drawings in the animation take a nose dive. It's about melding the character into the scene, even in motion; the lighting, the shadows, the colouring of the character in different lighting.
You've done that extremely well and I hope to see more.

I know I’m one year late but this speaks to me so much. I’ve grown up/growing up in a Christian household where everyone takes religion so seriously. From a young age I’ve always questioned things about the religion and, about a year ago, came to the realization that I’m an atheist.
