I hate auto tune, but the way this song was assembled was actually pretty damn good.
Same. I've always hated autotune with a passion, but it sounds soothing and perfect with this song.

You need to check out Ryan Upchurch. When he rocks it is like Southern Alice N Chains, when he does country, it is like Blake Shelton, and when he raps it is like a southern Eminem.

Exactly, I've seen him live a few times, and you can definitely tell he is singing it, you can tell it's live.

I couldn't stand Kid Rock until I seen him live as the opening act for Metallica. He put on such a kick ass show, almost made Metallica seem anti climatic. He don't use auto tune live, just his regular God given vocals. Good stuff, thanks for reacting to him!
When this song was popular every drunk guy i knew with issues was obsessed with this song......and if there was a few of them at a party they would eventually cluster together somewhere, start playing this song, and start a group therapy session

My best friend passed in 2005. This was one of his fav songs. Everytime I hear it, i think of him sitting in his chair belting out every lyric with his whole heart. He came from a family who abused drugs and he used to cry to me as kids, saying he didn't want to be like them. He did real good for many years, but ultimately lost that fight. Used for a bit. Then quit! Got his life together, until his baby mother decided to use his child as a weapon and told him he couldn't see him. He ran back to it, hurt, not knowing that the seller laced it. 1 more time became the last time 😪. God I miss him. This song is my fav by Kid Rock. Absolutely beautiful

I was 10 when my ma had a miscarriage with my baby brother. Every time I miss him I play this song, Kid Rock is so talented and has helped me through that rough time in life

Between this and "Lonely Road of Faith" Kid Rock earned his right to call himself a southerner if he wanted.
