When you're going through a tough time it's really hard to imagine yourself on the other side of it. When I was in high school, I was severely depressed, and that legitimately impacted my ability to even think about future prospects: I doubted I'd make it to university, much less a job. One of the ways I dealt with it was setting smaller goals - if I couldn't imagine myself a year forward, at least I knew I'd have to make it to a meeting with my friend in a week, a concert in two weeks and a football game in a month. If I didn't want to live, I still wanted to listen to some band's next album or watch the next season of a show. So you break the years into months into weeks into days and it's infinitely easier to just make it from one point to another.
Thanks for sharing. I might do this project. Plus I'm fighting for my life right now too and trying to take day by day. So hearing this from someone helps.

Hello, how are you doing today. The comments are helpful, but if you join a craft group or something that you really like, you will happier every time. Do different things if you can, small steps. The downside to social media, the internet, etc, is that it is NOT good for mental health. Getting outside in the sun and fresh air, walking with a friend or something like gardening is very beneficial. A healthy diet with fresh fruit & vegetables, including probiotics, is also very good + a good night's sleep. Try these things and see how you feel. If you find something you love, keep doing it. Best wishes ❤️ hope you find what works for you 🙏 and let the feel-good hormones in 😊

I have depression and have been thinking about a lot of things I even tried to unalive myself but my sister caught me took away the knife and huger me tight for a good 30 minutes and this happened because of my relationship with my nana she likes to fuss at me a lot and I got fed up with it. Amen to that! Years ago, when I had severe postpartum depression, I would beg God every evening to call me home in the middle of the night. And every morning I woke up refreshed, and at ease in my mind, I knew that he gave me that peace, I knew that he helped me through the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life. I know I am only here because of his grace, so yes, God does hear prayers and yes, he does answer them and yes, he will walk beside you through the hardest thing you will ever go through, all you need to do is ask.
I will do this on Teacher’s Day next year. I will tell my classmates abt it. TYSM

Basically the Pastor offered no real help. They just told her to keep believing which she had been doing already and as she was at breaking point it means it wasn't working hence why she went to get help. Its sad that instead of advising her to go see a doctor or a psychologist they just recommend pray or " just keep believing "
They actually told her to take it one day at a time, which is very sound advice. 🙏🏼
I believe people need both! It’s ok a good thing to turn for help.
@GirlandTheWord what do you think they were doing ? Taking it week by week month by month? She was trying to stay alive every minute of every hour. It's like saying If your tired from walking JUST KEEP WALKING MORE that is not a solution this person needs REAL help before they do something that's irreversible. The death would be on the pastors hand as they could have gotten them real medical help which I hope they got
@@BBB73BBBI am not religious( atheist who lowkey hates religion due to religious trauma) but bro sometimes it's better to remind the person in front of you of what they were doing till now... Sometimes when we hit rock bottom our thoughts get clouded and during those times a reminder is a life saver ..... Now here the person is religious so they will see it from a religious perspective and will say god gave us .... But me as an aethist will say okay we have been surviving till now that means we have the will power to move for another day and live in this moment.... Both perspective are okay as long as the person is getting a help and not harming others/themselves....some people find peace in god some find in themselves .. my personal issue with religious people is that when they shove their religious beliefs down a person's throught like it's the abselute truth which she's not doing in this video and she's trying to spread a nice message...
