Horrible experience using this service. Much more improvements needed. Train was far too busy with hardly any space. All those queues upon arrival to the airport done my head in.

Do not even try to use contactless or Oyster on the Stansted Exptess. Buy a ticket to avoid a big fine. You may use a card to pay for the ticket.
Just to understand contactless, you can't take the metro using contactless? that means you can only buy those at the airport on the stations, or online right? Is it ok if I already purchased a bus from Stratford to Stansted?
Good God, that train service - to a major international airport - is shockingly bad.
No contactless? Tickets manually checked upon arrival? No automation? Long queues?

Any idea purchasing ticket from trainline app is valid for stansted airport?
purchasing tickets from trainlone are normally valid on stansted express, but ive heard that trainline often sell tickets that are invalid, so booking with the operator is better
Think it would be fun to piss the ticket inspector of, and for someone to buy advance tickets @£10.00, and buy around 20 tickets, and shout.
Free tickets if you have used contactless, dont think there anything they could do to stop you
How do you know when the train is leaving while walking to the front?
there are departure boards at a few places like at 11:22 in the video, additionally you can find this info online, either on the operator website or on another website like RTT or something
