I just started laughing when mentioned Tobey Maguire. Tobey is playing Spiderman for the movie inside the Spiderman comic.
Sam Rami is in this, and he's talking about the original Spider-man movies? Then Spider-man shows up and tells them that they all suck? This is so meta, that even the muppets would turn to the camera and say:
Kermit: "You know I'm just a bunch of foam with a puppeteer attached to me, right?"
(Camera zooms out to reveal puppeteer)
Kermit: "I don't know how many more fourth walls we can break"
Gwen Stacy's logic : I believe this man killed my father. I know he didn't kill my father. i'm still going to proceed to demonize him for killing my father despite the fact that I acknowledge that he didn't.

I remember collecting this Hollywood series back then. I was so excited to get the next issue and the next. I miss the good ol' Ultimate Spider-Man comic. My favorite comic book series actually
Best part of the comic in my opinion is the panel where Spidey meets up with Tobey and straight up telling the filming crew they all suck lol

+LeonLily The Ultimate comics came out more than 10 years ago and don't even run anymore... you have no case for "spoilers". It's common knowledge that Peter dies in the ultimate verse and Miles takes over. Still one of the best comic book deaths ever though. Have tissues ready.

I've sat here for the past 3 minutes clicking back to 11:33 just to appreciate the writing for this comic book. I mean... I know it's just a story. Something somebody made up and put a lot of thought and work into, but because of that it feels almost like the characters are real and this is their lives being layed out in front of us. This is their reality. Peter Parker is a young man with amazing abilities and responsibilities that take up what was supposed to be his normal life with a good plan to get him somewhere. I've cried honestly at bits and parts of this entire series, screaming at a comic book because something happened and feeling angry towards characters who screw up and love for those who try so hard to make things right or feel the pain tearing their spirits apart from the loss of someone they love. Peter Parker in this series is written so well and amazingly that it just seems like such a cruel reality for this kid who already had tragedy, bullying and mystery brewed into his life, and then it being jump started with getting spider powers and having a city's- a world's weight put upon his shoulders. He fights battles bigger than himself. Once he started doing this stuff he started feeling the guilt weigh down upon his heart. He started waking up in cold sweats and from nightmares crying out for someone or against something. This world he lives in took a lot from him and to the people who inhabit it, he just kept on giving. He gave his time, his strength, his trust, his love, his life- his actual life itself to a world that branded him many things over for it until the end. All the way till' his first end. Then after so much time has passed he was thrown back into the middle of it. The young man literally came back from the dead to stop the threat that killed him the first time, from continuing his onslaught against the ones he loved and the young man that took his mantle when he could no longer carry on the battle. He managed it but finally decided to not waste this second chance at life and go off with Mary Jane Watson... The girl next door, the girl he loved and held in his heart since they were little. He wanted to go off and explore the world with his best friend and the first person he trusted to know the weight he held upon his shoulders, his secret and his burden. They both repeatedly made choices and mistakes that took them from each other but they came back together in the end and didn't want to waste it. Peter Parker deserved a chance and the time to enjoy a bit of life's wonders even if it is just in this amazing comic book world of fantastic accidents and beings bigger than life, but god do we know he would've picked back up his mask, he would've built some web shooters and gone out there doing what he felt was right and that he wanted to do. Peter Parker was a good man and deserved so much better than what the world gave him. He was young and made his mistakes but he would not let it keep him down. He'd do better and try to be better and fix what he can and carry on because the battles never really over. We could've seen him do this and build a life for himself with MJ and even come back in time to the ones he loved... but then the universes collided and we lost soo many heroes.... One of which being the ultimate peter parker most likely assuming we have heard nothing since then. At least not so far as I know. Hah... I started this just to note that Peter was such a well written character and that it's awful he suffers nightmares like this, but look what this little comment turned into. Much like the comic itself, it grew from one thing into something bigger. Thank you Spider-man for being someone I could relate to and love to learn about and being so inspiring. Thank you writers for giving us such a great character to learn from.

Spider Man jumping out of the plane with Santa hat on and hello kitty earbuds is one of my favorite and funniest moments in Ultimate Spider man.

When I was a kid I was disturbed by the fact Peter probably had blood in his mouth when Otto ripped his teeth out. He'd have to swallow it or just have it stay there in his mouth.
