Sibling harmony is a musical term that refers to the tight -- almost inseparable -- vocal harmonies generated by members of the same family. Phil and Don Everly are blood. Their voices blend so well you can't tell one from the other. When members of the same family sing together, something intangible happens.
Love these sisters since 79 Just saw Lucy WR open and support the Indigo Girls in san diego Go see her she was great. Chip off the old block talent and songs of course were so off the charts which i already knew going in but stage presence and stories kind of rocked my world bringing me right back to her mom and aunts. I am always lifted comforted and always smile with this family
I am TOTALLY STUNNED!!! No, I have NEVER seen this before in a live performance. Never. Have you? The audience... the audience respectfully WAITS for them to completely finish the song (5:18) before breaking into applause. So Nice; simply amazing. I salute them - THANK YOU! for not ruining the end of the song! Such a wonderful performance from a wonderful & harmonious group. Thank you for the upload.
Beyond this world came a power Struck into me I don't know how It happened slow I want you to know Her love is true music and it Radiates around Here comes a new day: clouds roll away Don't ask me, I don't know a thing Let's drive to town across the border line Her love is true music and it Radiates around My chance for true happiness It waits upon her kiss How can it be, it feels so good to know all this My heart may break and it might fall She is mine and I am hers through seasons all Let's drive to town Across the borderline Her love is true music And it radiates around
An absolutely gorgeous rendition of a gorgeous song by an amazing pop songwriter, Mark Johnson. The sound and mix remind me of Enya and the arrangement is splendid. Thanks for posting.
I would SO love to hear an acoustic version of this song. I adore the original of course, but I really wonder what it'd sound like with a live drummer.
Sibling Harmony! I can't prove this, but I think the purity of Roches harmony comes in part from being in possession of shared vocal traits. All the overtones line up. Everly Brothers, Beach Boys...
Wonderful group. Spectacular harmonics. This is my second favorite by them after "Weeded Out". The only female harmonic group (to me ..which is , of course, opinion) that is superior to them are the "Chordettes".
For the sake of making it easier to find information on the genius songwriter behind the song, just wanted to say his name is spelled Marc Jonson. Thanks for uploading.
3 of the most beautiful voices ANYWHERE EVER singing one of the most beautiful songs EVER. Thank you Mark Johnson.
Such a perfectly sung song; my heart breaks to see Maggie as an essential part of the performance and now lost to us all.
Amazing and lovely live rendition of this song! They really are a treasure.

That is true; other examples would be the Beach Boys, First Aid Kit, the Avett Brothers, BeeGees.

The Roches at their best! RIP Maggie.

I died, and I saw the holy spirit, this song helped me in my search in what I was looking for.
Beyond this world came a power
Struck into me I don't know how
It happened slow I want you to know
Her love is true music and it
Radiates around
Here comes a new day: clouds roll away
Don't ask me, I don't know a thing
Let's drive to town across the border line
Her love is true music and it
Radiates around
My chance for true happiness
It waits upon her kiss
How can it be, it feels so good to know all this
My heart may break and it might fall
She is mine and I am hers through seasons all
Let's drive to town
Across the borderline
Her love is true music
And it radiates around
I was privileged to see them live on this tour, fantastic concert and a very happy memory :)

SO perfectly gprgeous.
Great song. Mark's version with guitar and multi-layered vocals is transcendant.
Omg - I love the Roches!

RIP, Maggie. :(
Magisterial and beautiful. I can't understand why the sisters were not huge.
When I saw the Roches sing this Suzzy said she was singing it for her daughter.

Sublime.
A Princeton crowd is told how great they are and they react as if, well tell us something we didn't know. Uggh. They didn't deserve the Roches.
Weirdly fantastic harmony.
Transcendent!
I just found out the the trio is now a duo. This is hard to take, tonight.
Not a duo

interesting, he did go by that spelling for a long time, thanks for the heads up (fixed)
Blood Harmony at its finest!
This song was written by God, God loves music, and GOD found an angel to sing it.

sup?
If you only knew the true power of GOD
The Everly Brothers weren't actually brothers
Yes, they were.
When I saw the Roches sing this Suzzy said she was singing it for her daughter.
