- Some of these are one of the kind RC models. RC Pilots enter their aviation model to Top Gun International annual event for aviation modeling and flying competition. All flights are judged from scores of 1-10 and 10 is perfection -for realism in flight with specific maneuver executed with a precision of an Olympic champion with her routines; The static display must represent as close as possible to the full-scale version from paint colors to the size of the tires. Many of the modelers may take months to years to complete their models. It requires attention to detail, patience, and lots of flying practice. Having fun is a must with this hobby--once bitten--it is hard to leave. Many of the modelers have been in the hobby since they were 10 years old. A good portion of the modelers is full-scale pilots from commercial to private. Many others are engineers, doctors, and mechanical and avionic enthusiasts, and from all walks of life.

Heavy crosswind, I don't think I'd fly in those conditions with such expensive aircraft. Thanks for sharing

Great planes but some of the pilots are not up to it......
Never liked that site for the contest. Good for jets but that grass strip is inexcusable for warbirds.
Most of these pilots need to figure out how to use the rudder. It’s windy but still pretty poor piloting.
These are the Top? They must be suffering from long term Covid.
I can't believe the poor standard of the grass runway! for a huge competition, is that the best they could do?? it's ridiculous. my rc club has better runways and we don't give them any special attention. The grass could have been shorter, runway wider, and the run-offs levelled off properly in my opinion.
