    I never understood why internet companies were allowed to Spy on private user's data. If a shopping mall employee got a woman's purse to steal her data, he would be imprisoned on the spot. Why is Google, Facebook, and others allowed to do it?

    • @agny369
      @agny369 Před 2 lety +1

      because the people writing laws do not understand how powerful technology is, or even really have the basic ideas of how it works. The average person doesnt realize how many times a day they potentially expose themselves to data miners and people who are spying on you for the purposes of aggreggating your data and selling it as a profile to market to. Politicians heavily rely on these data profiles to use to trick their voters

      @@riccardo9383 We have a serious problem, because all the people who have the most intelligence and foresight , know better than to get into politics, both for personal mental health , safety, and financial reasons, not to mention the extremely toxic dark cloud thats constantly over the capitol building.
      So you have these uninformed, egomaniacs, who rarely are running to make a difference, theyve just realized that this is now the easiest way in America to become famous, who don't listen to experts, and just make shit up about things they know nothing about. Legislators should be required to employ non partisan experts as staff on any industry specific legislation, we can figure out the definition of expert when the time comes.
      I'm graduating with a Bachelors in Computer Prog. and Information Systems in a month (at 37 years old), and even I , as a practically straight A student in the field, know how complicated the internet is and how vulnerable we all are to being spied on, stolen from, having our infrastructure shut down remotely from a hostile foreign power, and also the disinformation campaigns that are run by now domestic enemies as well. I had to take a speech class along the way , during the 2020 election season , related to my major, and I picked social media disinformation as my topic.
      That was between the election and the insurrection, and I still have the powerpoint. It was discussed in plain view on far right websites very violently and publically, and its hard to imagine these group of morons in congress taking any action to solve this problem of flooding the zone with bullshit so that the ignorant just assume that whoever they trust is right and they are true believers.
      I believe people will be held to account eventually, mainly because I have to, but with the amount of surveillance that tech companies have the abiliy to do and are deputized by the Federal government to handle, I'm surprised that no one has pieced together a complete and total timeline of every single conspirator involved in that plot. Im not a braggard and I wish I was wrong sometimes, but it's almost as if I turned into a psychic the moment I started digging into the political mud in 2020, out of concern for the truth.

      You, we, need to fix technology, not Congress.
      You can have whatever meaningful legislation you could come up with and still have spying and "law" agencies violating the law for years and years in the name of "protecting us from terror and instability". Remember the following quote?
      "I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. We had entire training courses. It reminds you of the glory of the American experiment."
      They spy on every word you ever publish online, on every search word, on every webpage you load, on every action, including here, and put you on watch lists based on your views. They care nothing about the law, you usually can never prove they did anything wrong, and if you can, the judicial system in the US is designed to do nothing about it (look up "sovereign immunity in the US").
      Once we fix technology: the wave of freedom will force a tsunami of bottom-up radical change in the political system.

      I told my mother about George Walkers' Kompromat Rumor. All four of my tires were stabbed within two hours of the email. This happened again, when I replaced the tires, and emailed mom AND dad, this time. Spoiler Alert: George swallowed many Coronas or whatever beers there were. Now, everybody knows. He wanted it ...that way.

      @@LoriAW3791 Yes. I worked for a lab in Sorrento Valley here by La Jolla. My boss there had partied with W in the summer of '72, and discussed what happened. He drank a lot. I had a vintage '55 two door hard top with wide whitewall tires. I had to put modern radials on it, which were also stabbed. Obama was saying my email was safe at that point in time. No. My Tri-Five American Classic said otherwise. It is in the film, A Beautiful Mind, in the front porch scene, across the street, and on the right side of the screen. White top, black body. The front left tire shows, and was already a radial then, when filmed. Film mistake. Radials did not exist yet. It went unnoticed. The other three were older bias ply wide white tires of the day. It is listed on International Movie Car Data Base, IMCDB. The stabbings were later in 2008 and 2009. A classic American Buick Super power, and film prop, and they were attacking it. I have family in the Capital Building, Library of Congress, and the Whitehouse, Secret Service for decades too. My guess is it made things worse when I forwarded the email to the Library of Congress, ISBN department, to a parental sibling that decides what is legally fiction and nonfiction in America. As a person threatened on January 6, you can guess what that family member thinks about George Walkers' truth. His Bone in Skull Club Minions are stabby drunks.

    I was dating a German au pair whose friend was the nanny for a doctor on the other side of town. We were at their house back in August, 1991 when his wife received the telephone call from a West Virginia state trooper informing them that her brother in law, Danny Casolaro, had been found dead in a hotel bathtub in West virginia, apparently after drinking a single beer (he had been sober for decades). He had slashed his own wrists so aggressively that there were razor marks deep into the bone.
    Turns out he was researching a software called Promis, which was created by a government contractor with ties to Israel, named Inislaw.
    The over-arching conspiracy he was writing a book about was called "the octopus" because its tentacles reached into every intelligence and law enforcement agency in the western world. Promis was ostensibly a "prosecution management information system" but the backdoors and ties to echelon made it a juicy playground for conspiracists.

      Hmmm selective reading of you think the Palestinians have done far worse!! They lived peacefully in their country until they were forced out. This selective understanding is why America doesnt get the truth of what's happening. Unlike some people I don't actually want to erase Israel, and actually my Palestinian friends tell me they don't either. But that doesn't fit the racist rhetoric does it? Trolls who follow the Israeli State and US narrative can't abide the truth. Simply look at the laws imposed by Israel if you can stomach the truth. They are there, factual and objective of any emotion and they are clearly one nation and apartheid, they discriminate on the basis of nationality. But people are selective in what they want to believe sadly. No matter what truth I will write and with however much evidence, those who want to hide their hearts in the sand of racism and ignorance will do so with basic and childish responses. And the manpower is there in Israel as every single person must be in the army, 2 years for women and 3 years for men, and this includes It, so this country has forced conscription, but that is never mentioned either, and enough trolls to challenge every truth and damage every phone or equipment that doesn't follow their rhetoric.
