Pro Tipp incase you accidentally open a garage door before putting a lock on it. Simply craft a door controller,place it close to it and press E once to pair it with the door, in response it will automatically close. Update May 2024. With the changes to door controlers this trick needs a update. It still works, but now you need to attach the doorcontroller to the designatet spot on the doorframe and you need to connect the "Power in" of the controler with anyithing that gives off a electrical signal, i suggest a button or pressure pad.

Just saw your base on Willjum Channel. And i got to say this has sparked my builder heart enough for me to come back and design my own floor stack bases like in the good old days. Even though i am not playing rust anymore. And props to the great cut/editing in the beginning. So many builders fail to show upkeep and build cost right in the beginning. And just all around a awesome little base!
This is absoluty perfect for a solo. Small enough to not draw attention from big groups, but a nightmare for any small groups that try . And its not breaking the bank 👍

I wish you would take a few extra seconds to show precisely where in the base and how you're placing some of the floors and other things to make it easier. I feel like you're taking it a little for granted, that everyone watching knows exactly what you are doing and talking about. There are some places where I'm not sure if I did it correctly, where you clip directly to the next part and Im left wondering if I did the previous part correctly. Other than that, great video and really interesting base design!
Saw this build on Willie J s vid. Love it, used to play ark as guerilla leader in space cowboys. This is similar to utilizing snap points for double layering. Love this build, you got a sub for life man.
Console rust just wiped but sadly I don't think this base works with the update. I can't get the second set of low foundations to place next to the 2x1 core on the rear of the base :/
I tweaked a bit and you can leave the floor above the barrel on the pixel to twig and what that does is allow you to build another bunker floor metal or hqm to the roof, but keep in mind garage door needs to be roller towards the airlock otherwise will be red. And you can also sacrifice the stone honeycomb on the second floor for turret pods that can be open from 3 sides except 1 but you can open the remaining one with electricity and have more grub protection and doesnt impact bunker protection on 1st floor a lot. Thanks.

You gotta get to the second level and once you build the “ build up” into the base that will connect that line triangle to the actual base that’s how it’s been the past few wipes, other than that it works great
The floor tile above the bunker twig floor needs to be HQM. otherwise you can just boom the sheet metal floor then the twig from the bunker and you skip the 2nd layer of the bunker
When doing the floor stack, is the 2nd small box necessary for placing the 2nd triangle foundation or would you achieve the same result if just placing the 2nd triangle as close to the first one as possible?
I built this exactly like you did. No pixel gap. But for whatever reason, I cannot get the floorstacking to work in the main TC room. Every other room works.
Built this a couple times now it's a bloody wicked design, only problem I've had last 2 times somehow I have ended up not having a pixel gap and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
@@wweminehead5458 yeah I didn't have any issues at all it took me a few tries to get the initial setup done to get everything to line up without a gap but I even went up another two floors and they're all four stacked as well so I have a whole floor of blue rooms and a shooting floor it just feels like a tough base when you're inside of it I really like it
I cannot place the foundation connected to the triangle foundation at 6:00. I get a “not in terrain” error. Am I fked or is there anything I can do to fix it?
Honestly really cool base. i would really like to see how would you make the roof with peakdowns and widegaps, that would be awesome. Only one thing that bothers me, it is 3 walls to the core except to the TC it is only 2 walls, is it because you think that they wont go from that side or is it because it happend to be that way?
Thanks I appreciate the support! In terms of the walls to TC I found after using it for many wipes that most raiders go through the door path or top down. But you also could upgrade the drop down wall, and the TC wall honeycomb to metal on the outside which would increase the raid cost by 4 rockets more :)

Yes, it’s because you need the half wall on top. Foundations don’t connect with each other so they will decay if not connected with walls.

This just means that you forgot to add something in terms of stability. Make sure you’ve added all the floor stacking above the 2x1

This DOES work on CONSOLE. if you're having trouble, I put large boxes behind me to keep me in line, and turned my sens down to 0 x and y.
