I got deathly sick from my mentor implants. Silicone degraded in my body over a 7 year period. Developed autoimmune issues, RA issues, anxiety, could never get a full air, neurological issues, insomnia, weight gain, started losing my memory, bad brain fog...every symptom you can think of. Felt like I was dying. Explanting properly helped save my life. Living life again. ♡

Britt E , I just explanted 11 days ago. All of my symptoms are gone. I had Mentor Smooth. I got an En Bloc Total Capsulectomy. I had every symptom you did. These are not safe. I suffered for 10 years! Don’t do it ladies!
@@thecurioussquirrelreviews hi Julie, did you get them out & get a lift without putting anything back in or did you have fat put in? I really hope you don't have any long term problems associated with all those bad symptoms you were suffering. Was anything showing at the site of the implants when you startrd getting radically ill, like bruising or swelling or encapsulating that let you know the breasts were responsible for making you sick? The reason I ask this is because I've got osteoarthritis & IBS & anxiety chronic & it's started within 12 months of implants. I wish I'd not got them because I'm short & now I feel so "top heavy". I'd like to get them removed but not sure how expensive that will be. They didn't turn out very good either... The implants stand out & my old breast crease is obvious, I'm not sure what that is called but I had to have the of twice because Dr Fleming had my nipples facing down after the FIRST op! 😂

Hi, I had them taken out and nothing put back in. They are tiny and fluffy, lol. I love them so far and am adapting to the new me, happily. In fact, I look taller and feel even more confident now- isn’t that crazy!?! My surgeon offered fat transplantation, but I didn’t want to have any more procedures than needed. I am barely an “a” now, but healing beautifully and still no symptoms. Let’s see, im now at post day 30...my dissolvable stitches are still showing and I’m only taking Tylenol when I feel like I’ve done too much and they ache. Yes, I had capsular contraction within the first month of getting them- it was most painful the last three years ( I saved up for about 7 years; piggy bank style for an explant!). I went in for a mammogram b/c of the pain and they put me into ultrasound right away- they could see a lump ( 2mm ovoid) but not all of it due to the implant. They couldn’t use a needle to biopsy it, so, since they were expired and we needed to get to the bottom of what that ovoid was, I decided to explant. Dr. Tancredi D’amore in Corte Madera is the top surgeon for breast reconstruction and is very compassionate towards breast implant illness. He and his team are wonderful. You asked if I had bruising or swelling symptoms at the sight- I just had lots of pain to the touch- no bruising. They were becoming as hard as baseballs- and my nipples were grossly stretched due to the weight. I’m short too and they looked massively heavy. I was told they were safe! Not even close!

Yes, I can really relate to the 'piggy bank saving' process! I'm on a disability pension & I've only managed a few thousand over a half dozen years! Depressing & I should've been more sure of myself when I first went to the Dr as I went there for some face work & laser for my skin & he was doing facial skin work but mainly breast augmentation & he talked me into it. It's true to say if us women felt better about ourselves we wouldn't be coerced or driven to feel we need bigger breasts. Its better to learn eventually than never learn - I'm a very slow learner (Duh)!

The plastic surgeons are not telling their patients about any risks because all they want are $$$$$$
The point is: Don't put anything foreign inside your body because the body sets off a response to fight it.
stuff like this is what holds me back from getting breast implants. I really want them, and I've wanted them for years, but I'm afraid of the risks.

I just explanted 11 days ago. I was sooo terribly sick for 10 years. Capsular contraction happened immediately ( 4 weeks in after implants went in). I’ve had autoimmune issues, fatigue that wouldn’t go away, memory issues- I couldn’t find words... it was absolutely terrible. I was so sick that I couldn’t find the strength to enjoy life. I’m now only after 11 days feeling clear headed ( not foggy or confused), experiencing zero hand pain, back pain or inflammation. I’m me again and healthy. Do not do this to your SELF. It’s not worth it.
I myself want a reduction with implants but I feel I may just do reduction idk..
Time to do an update of this issue and the new #’s with France and Canada taking several off the market. Let’s go Dr’s more than 720 cases now and climbing. FDA needs to protect the patients and move on this now.

Be proud of your body you were born with. My ex had breast implants. Ladies trust me. A man you will love you , will love you for you and not your parts you bought.

Problem is majority of people dont have it because of medical reason like you About B. But because they somehow think they will be more sexy.

What did people expect, you are putting foreign things into your body which are not supposed to be there
... well just taking birth control pill actually put you a risk of cancer, and woman with larger breast have higher risk of cancer. by smoking and drinking alcohol put you in higher risk to cancer, by anything can risk you to have cancer, so put implants not gonna make anything different from all those. but ofcause not all can get cancer, just few, but those are the reasons.
Choosing beauty? LOL. Who finds these fake breasts beautiful? Small breasts are million times more beautiful. They are choosing an idea of beauty impossed by our modern culture.
Small breast are beautiful-but I didn't choose beauty I chose health-I never had children so mine were very perky and again until you experience it KEEP QUITE

It's a personal choice to get implants. It's not a right or wrong issue. It's a personal choice. But to every action, there is consequences.
Yeds, it is a personal choice. If you wish to avoid watching your loved one die of cancer, either don't start a relationship with a plastic boobed woman, or constantly nag them to have the implants removed. Implants kill.

I have been very ill since getting silicone implants in 95 I have textured and capsular contracture and lumpy painful breasts auto immune disease plus 40 other symptoms Breast implant illness my body is attacking them.
So they just recalled these implants after the FDA knew about them for years???
I have 'breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma'. A young woman in my group has sadly just passed away from this cancer because her lymphoma wouldn't respond to treatment.
Its a T-cell lymphoma and it is high grade/very aggressive.
I know I had a silent infection going on in my breast for at least two years prior to it becoming lymphoma. For two years I had inflammatory blood responses but I was always told my bloods were normal. For those two years I was sick with breast implant illness but I didn't know at the time that my illness had anything to do with my breasts.
I want to know how you now? Do you replace your implants?

I feel it is a safer option to to fat transfer to increase breast size. Do you have one on fat trasfer to breasts?
while I agree with alot of comments on this site-until you are diagnosed with breast cancer-and only then can you even begin to make an objective remark. Being diagnosed at age 40 and single-no one understands the things we go through-will this man understand, when do I tell him that these are implants, and not the regular kind, I have no feelings in them ETC so please just stop
Basically said don't get implants cause the chances are your going to suffer with cancer.. use your fat if you want to be on the safe side. I was planning on getting some next year but now ... I'm going to pass on that risk.
I knew this woman who had breast implants, got cancer and died because she didnt want to take them out. That is what her husband told me.

people who have implants for deformities are excluded because that is a health issue but for those men and women who do it for beauty be careful and of course it's not safe you are putting something in that should not be there but it's a personal choice just know the risk you might be putting yourself into

Instead of implants u can also get fat transferred to the breast if u have enough fat, that's a saver way to enhance it.

Galium Odoratum, when women have breast cancer, the first treatment is often to surgically remove a part of the breast or the entire breast (mastectomy). One of their only choices if they recover from cancer and want to have boobs again is implants.
They still have a choice
So add another chance of cancer, bacterial infectious disease or auto immune disease. Great choice to make.
