As a 50yr old, slept in my car at st Andrew’s in order to see him play his last round there, and was very emotional when he stood on the swilken bridge for the last time. I was there to see him win in 1978 having slept in a tent. Got his autograph on the photo in the programme which I still cherish. He had time for everyone and respected everyone. Happy memories. Thanks Jack………

For me, the greatest moment in sports (all sports) was the 86 Masters. I so clearly recall standing in my brothers kitchen watching Jack walk up the 18th fairway to the roar of the crowd. I knew I was watching the most incredible moment in golf history and I had to stand and clap my hands as tears rolled down my face. I’m 72 now but I remember that moment as if it was yesterday. Jack was and remains my favorite golfer of all times. What an amazing man and thank you Nick for the privilege of sharing this time with the two of you.

I honestly didn't really plan on sitting and watching this entire hour-long interview, but these 2 legends kept me watching for the whole thing. It was awesome listening to them recount stories of their experiences past and a few details of their best friendships. I'm amazed at how Jack remembers so specifically not only past rounds he's played or the layout of each course, but he remembers EVERY SINGLE SHOT, and even the distance to the pin after each shot! LIV doesn't want to eliminate the PGAT. Just like the PGAT didn't want to eliminate the PGA of America. They didn't even want to compete with them, but Jay wouldn't negotiate with LIV. He thought he would just squash LIV. He underestimated his opponent and brought a fly swatter to kill a hawk. That was a huge mistake. He should resign, and the PGAT should bring in someone to negotiate.

Jack has been a paragon of sportsmanship, honesty and humility on the golf course but I lost respect for him as a MAN when he went all in for DJT in 2020. He’s still the GOAT on the golf course, but to champion someone who is the opposite of one’s values is just sad.

True dat. It was a great disappointment for me since he was a hero to me as a kid. All I could finally conclude is that he's a product of his class: rich country club. Those are the folks and society he's been among his whole life, and he's going to think like them about social issues. Still think he's a decent guy, ESPECIALLY for a professional athlete, but he's got blinders on too about all the privilege he's enjoyed.

Mr. Faldo, you are the man! My dad who passed away a few years ago is the reason I got into golf. He watched golf throughout the 80s and 90s in early thousands when I was too young to watch. Every time a golfer would hit a shot he would say something like “that just like Faldo”, or “ that’s not how Faldo does it”… for the longest time? I thought he was talking about some wild, exotic, animal or bird. As I eventually grew into the game, I realized obviously you were one of the best golfers of several generations. I’m not proud to be able to teach my son about the joys of golf and the golfers the game before me. We miss you and your voice on the live coverage, but so glad you found a happy place. Good luck to you!
