Maybe a small thing. I know we see the decks at the end but maybe a small preview of both the decks prior too the matches would be nice. Sometimes it's possible to blank on some of the cards that were drafted.

Long episode, but both sides had pretty strong decks for an arena setting.
Josh had a ton of clutch pickups like Gellenduo, Spirit Reaper, and Grand Mole.
Cool that Alex was able to make Absolute Zero.
Only to get yeeted by Grand Mole.
Omg Cimo you held onto Smashing Ground way too long when there's a perfect target in Spirit Reaper to use it on. You allowed him enough turns to draw Magic Drain to negate your card.

It’s amazing how even in a draft format, you can see just how good Josh is at this game. His ability to manage his cards is just so good.

This was pretty awesome to watch. :) Been playing a lot of Master Duel Arena Edison recently (Admittedly mostly with my own custom Cube to spice things up)
Some things I've noticed about Edison with the standard weights of rarity, it's really hard to pull off the Hero fusions, as a lot of the components need to fall into place, either you don't see Miracle, or you don't get a usable Fusion monster usually. Don't diss Gemini's, they were actually playable around this time. Be ready for extra decks full of Essedari, Plaguespreader Synchros and Gaia Knight's, in testing me and my friends had multiple drafts where we had to take 3 copies of multiple of these. Even if they were completely dead, which makes playing for Synchro plays extremely awkward if they're not specifically for easy Gaia/Urbellum spam.
Josh's "I just picked Good stuff." approach generally seems to be the way to go. Synergies are just usually too inconsistent if most of your cards don't function on their own, and I'd rather have decent situational Spell/Trap answers partnered with Beatsticks than monsters that need other cards to function properly alongside subpar backrow.
Take Cimo's draft here for example, a lot of his cards struggle with just getting ran over or matched by a 1900 beatstick, meanwhile we have E-tele with one target in deck, and I'd generally have another beatstick over a fair amount of his spell/trap card choices. Don't blame him though, I drafted similarly my first few times playing Edison too.
Easily my favorite episode of this series yet. My two favorite content creators drafting and dueling it out was awesome!!! And probably the first episode where I WASN'T rooting for Cimo lmao 😂

Honestly, i think if you don’t know your deck, you pick gale every time. It’s just a good monster on its iwn even if you don’t synchro
Like normal summon Gale just outs stardust and any other monster with 2500 or less ATK. While Caius may be more impactful, it requires you to already have setup to utilize whereas Gale gets better with setup but is fine without it
Gale was 100% a better choice. It outs Reaper too which is funny. Beats anything under 2450 on its own. lv 3 tuner, Dark, 1300 atk which isn't bad either.
@@rickerturgen8526Why 2450? It can beat 2500 atk monsters as well. Its why its able to pretty comfortably check stuff like stardust dragon on its own

As a format, yes, as a draft base off MD, it's wonky as fuck and ass to pull from due to the rarity of certain cards and the card pool making the decks really janky

Today I learn about Grand Mole Runick
As a quick follow-up, I do still think polymerization should be allowed as a three of as far as having access to automatically. Yes it's cheap instincts a tiny bit but it also allows for the fusions to be more live.
i think it would genuinely be quite terrible though
@lovelaxo RJ would probably work well, Ruxin it would depend more on the era played.
This isn't Sealed Showdown. Maybe the free 3x Polymerization would work there, but this is something totally different.
I love these drafts and im ever so thankful for the people that made them, but respectfully. Unless there's some rules put in place or the pool changed the edison pool is so so bad for draft

Ok can I just say there was some massive top deck shenanigans (miracle, mole, etc) I would of really liked to see I game 3 because games 1 and 2 were both 50% spirit reaper beat down
It is pretty interesting to watch the duels and then the draft to see the thought process that went into the decks but also still being surprised at what each person plays!
the greed to get 1 draw killed cimo in g1, should have just used the fusion on the turn he summoned Gallis to maybe get something going

Honestly sick to see Dark Nephthys put in work! I was actually looking into the card not long ago in consideration for a Darksworn Jank strategy in Edison. It's definitely cracked in sealed, a Special Summonable 2400 beatstick that outs Spells and Traps!

Yes he was. Pretty annoying how he kept leaving Spirit Reaper up with a Smashing Ground for too many turns. It gave Joshua enough turns to draw Magic Drain, the one card that makes Cimo's destruction cards useless.
