Thanks Paula for your useful lesson, Yes you are right. You shed the light of the most difficult aspect of the language learner from all over the globe. People should realize that when they learnt their native grammar how they learnt? when they learnt? from which age they learnt??? This is the key questions we should ask our selves. The most effective way as you explained is through the context, having some basic information about grammar is good but not spending all the time on grammar. I`m Kurdish, my native language is Kurdish, I can speak Arabic, English, a little Persian and now I am learning Turkish and Spanish. The method I use is that way as you said through sentences and context. Also I have a suggestion for you Paula if you do not mind, why do not you some text analyzing from Spanish movies here in your channel, I mean not every week but sometimes it is perfect if you do some minutes for Spanish movies with analyzing? My best regards for you...and Thanks again.

Nushar oh wow, you speak a lot of languages, that’s awesome.
I will create a series of videos analyzing texts, or extracting some movies’ parts 👍🏻👍🏻
Muchas gracias por tu comentario 😊

@@SpeakSpanishWithPaula Muchos gracias Paula. That will be amazing, because extracting and analyzing of Spanish movies are very little.

Watching Spanish language television is one of my ways if learning. There are a couple of good things to listen to.
      1. Spanish language children's shows. My favorite of these is the El perro y El Gato on HBO latino. Sesame street is also great.
      2. I love watching favorite american movies dubbed in spanish. On comcast my cable provided you can set the language settings to get the spanish language version of many programs. Programs dubbed over in spanish from English dialog are slower.
      3. For real fun I like to watch the spanish language novellas were spanish is the original language. There are much faster paced.
      4. I love watching this late 60's western TV series called "high chaparal" mostly in English but there is always some spanish thrown in.
      5. I like to play "duo lingo" That is how I learned to say "el senor Albert tiene un boligrafo" Duo lingo does not explain grammar very well so I keep coming back to youtube for answers. The other thing I like about duo lingo is the type what you hear part. Gives good listening practice.
Well that Is my comment for the day. I might type a question later, but wanted to say that showing clips from TV and movies and explaining what they are saying is a great idea.

My method is I look up what I want to say then I text it to several girls in Cuba that I like. Very personal and easy to remember that way. Excellent video again.

me gustan mucho tus videos te agradezco mucho my method of learning grammar consists of listening a lot supporting that with learning grammar rules to sound more natural i'd say that i struggle more in getting the rythm than in implementing grammar rules

Listening and analyzing what you hear is a very good method 👏🏻
Yes, getting the rhythm and intonation of a language could be a huge struggle, and it’s indeed is a big topic to talk about.

easy yet very effective tips thanks Paula for teaching us how to learn correctly I think that the grammar points that a learner could struggle with are the ones that doesn't exist in his language for me to some extent is the subjuntive Vs the indicative choice and the preterito Vs inmperfecto especially with verb ser and estar but thanks to your videos things seems more possible to be achieved

      Dinu Gautam Hi 👋🏻
We all have our lazy times now and there, and it’s totally normal.
I do have to make a video about the multiple uses of “SE”, because it’s not only for reflexives. I hope to upload it very soon.
For sure, I’ll make a video about giving orders, commands 👏🏻👏🏻
Gracias por tus comentarios y apoyo 😊

I think grammar is important to learn but you need to mostly hear real conversations.

    • @SpeakSpanishWithPaula
      @SpeakSpanishWithPaula  Před 3 lety +1

nicedog1 That’s right! And from conversations you’re going to ask yourself, how can I say that as well? And that’s when you look up the linguistic resources needed. Good point 👍🏻
