Ah that question tells me that you're a true pen and ink connoisseur! Master Gibson's style, from my point of view, comes from a place of emotion and rendered in a harmonious balance of madness and poise. My natural drawing style comes from a place of logic, rendered with calculation in an organized balance of simplicity and detail. So, my final thought on this is to "notice what you notice" about the Masters who inspire you most as well as those who's work seems more enigmatic in comparison to your own style. Hope that helps!
