Honestly pretty glad you're covering this replay. I saw the guy post on Zodiac but he refused to post the replay, so most of the first few comments were on his side, and i wasn't going to comment for anonymity's sake. Now that the replay is public, I'm glad people understand why I made the decision I did.

-He linked away beauty to let Map go to the grave so shifter won't be able to activate next turn Since I put it on the top of the deck.
-I missplayed very hard in my turn by not summoning stri first to make shifter live. I knew he added delicious but I was thinking the set card was imperma since there were no reasons to set delicious apart from making a bluff. Anyway I had to summon stri. Was a very bad missplay by my side.
Also, I missplayed with those Raiza targets in that turn. Was very late in the night and I was tired. Correct targets would have been: my friend topdeck, fieldspell hand, angler topdeck. This way he would have drawn angler which was unable to activate due to shifter, he wouldn't have access to myfriend without committing resources which will be banished due to shifter, and and won't have Happy on the field due to Raiza beating it up in battle! I put jet in the topdeck because I thought: "if he discards angler he'll get 2 bodies". Totally forgot about shifter. And since he didn't add anything from jet previous turn, and since the other cards in the grave were very good draws for him, I decided to go with jet. Very bad decisions from my side.
It's strange he decided to lie. He was in a good position over there!
Edit: He also added with lyly under his own droll. As i Said, too tired to notice those things.

05:23 I don't know if Sebastian Ma shared his Dortmund list, but if you look up the top cut from Irish Nationals this year, you'll find his Purrely Spright list from that event. Won't be the same obviously but you'll get an idea of how he played it, with a very small spright engine (I think he cut it even smaller for Dortmund).

Today I learned that you have to fill out paperwork if you're DQ'd from a YCS.
this is why we need a real official simulator from konami, master duel could have been it, but best of one and the format and not enough options to choose how much you want to get helped by resolving and activating cards wont sadly go away, but the db community is one of the most toxic and unfriendly communities on the planet, everywhere people are cheating, tryharding way to much, you have people selling combo spreadsheets for 25 dollars where most of the combos where found by other players and the elitism is absolutely disgusting. you have people in the comments here saying every other video "the match was too low rated :((((( i do not want to see missplays" as if they were forced to watch this. these people forget this is game and is about having fun.

I used to caught plenty of cheaters while I was a judge in real life... the thing is that the judges konami summons are really really afraid of people. They suck at dealing with people and they are insecure on their knowledge as a judge.... They are also really lazy and not willing to go the extra mile to keep the tournaments ethic

I will say time rules are just fuckin tough in ygo but that just is the nature of competitive play. Need to end events at a reasonable time and atm it is a skill to scoop at a time where you don't see a win because you need to afford enough time to take a set.
Ya sometimes in testing I win games where I'm like damn i totally woulda fuckin scooped in bracket and that can make it less "fun" to play at events if you enjoy fully resolving games but ya thems the rules. Practice a ton before hand and hopefully u won't take too long to think when smth weird happens but damn do i hate those moments when you're asked to hurry up and you really are just tryna puzzle this shit out.

Damn bro I had a player tell me his xyz still summons after I D.D. Crow'd his Perrulyly target in grave, I asked another player after the game and he said it doesn't summon. Completely changed the game state and I would have had the dub for sure if crow had resolved, also player didn't offer the win for the situation either. I should have called judge on the interaction but gave him the benefit of the doubt... just goes to show.
Tbf i think it was ruled like that at cancun. They could believe that this was the correct ruling. You shouldve called a judge like you said.

thats just not true here, the activation of happy was legal but choosing to discard was not hence why the discard was added back to hand and the game woulda continued there but then they found him cheating , pog
@@TheDBGrinder the problem with the scenario was that his intent was to use the discard effect you cant force the card to resolve just because a part of the card can resolve. Thats unsportsmanlike conduct and goes against the rules. In this case besides adding the my friend under droll the purrely player did forget to activate the trap in grave to return lilly and only realized it after seeing his deck while having a legal target

You cannot BP swing then m2 go s:p to banish. You cannot declare direct attacks at all so it checks the BP the same way transcode and other cards check prior actions in the turn for legality to activate
