  • Here is the last segment of the Lazze Metal Shaping Method video. The Willys is finished for the show. This was done over a period of a few weeks. See my other videos to watch a class where we built an Auburn roadster.

    If more people watched these videos they would understand it's not just a old car,
    It's a work of ART!

    This is fantastic. A skill that you have aquired after years of practise is worth....well....it´s worth what the buyer is willing to pay, I presume. And I guess that is a lot. Us humans are the only species on the planet that can plan out and do stuff like this.

    We've built them in both steel and aluminum.

    Making an edge on a panel, similar to what is done in the video with the title 'Metal Shaping with Lazze: Stretching Aluminum in a Bead Roller'

    Is the window too tall Lazze? I can look at the orignal 1940 Willys Coupe and check.

    how do you keep the baremetal look without it rusting?

    • @lazzemetalshaping
      @lazzemetalshaping  Před 9 lety

      itsTHEFIREDOG The Willys was made in aluminum, so it wasn't a challenge. The other bare metal bodies get a quick once over when they need it with a synthetic steel wool- usually the medium green 'grit'. Not mentioning a name brand, you can find it at your local auto body paint and body shop supplier OR near the sand paper in your local home improvement store. There are also some new spray on rust sealants that wash off when you're ready to weld or paint.

    How did you attach the body panels to the chassis ?? I'm assuming some of the body panels were welded together but how to they stay with the frame ???

      Agreed - doing something you like doing isn't like work at all.
