Pure Gold. Raag Jogkauns. Pt. Bhimsen Joshi.

Legendary Pt. Bhimsen Joshi presents Jagannath Bua Purohit "Gunidas" 's Jogkauns which was originally created as Raag Kaunsi. Later BR Deodhar and Bua himself found shades of Raag Jog in it. It was only later that Pt. Kumar Gandharva re-created the original Kaunsi in the 1950s.
Pt. Bhimsen Joshi's Jogkauns is different. Very different. Raag Jog is very prominent in this recording. Unusually long start and short Drut Bandish.
You agree or not but nobody has ever presented Jog and Jogkauns the way Panditji did. I bet you'll remember this recording forever.

Panditji has given realy terrific performance. Pure Gold. I was fortunate to witness 2 Jogkauns performance of Panditji in year 1967 & 68 in Pune

Panditji very rarely sang Jogkauns....I too have one live Jogkauns of Bhimsenji....Vileparle Mumbai programme....I don't have any source of uploading many valuable live recordings on you tube platform to preserve this treasure for future generations....Dear Gandhar please look into it.

I dont know what is not Pure Gold which he sang
