This medley song got me mad as I didn't know anything about this song. And finding this song without any clue in the internet was the toughest thing to do. All I remember was the tune of this song. I was trying to get this song as the tune in my head was playing all the time. Finally I got this song and here I came to know that this is a fusion. Heard this song many times but never cared to know earlier. Now I am enjoying the song finally.

Can anyone explain me what's lalung and tiwas difference. I mean technically is there any difference
Tiwa is the Official name given my the Tiwa People itself, and Lalung name was introduced my Mikir people, Mikir means Karbi.
In Assam Many tribes have two names one is official name & other one is given my others.
For example
Tiwa - Lalung
Mising - Miri
Karbi - Mikir
Boro - Mech / Boro Kachari
@@tiwatribeofficial I heard in ahom rule , some tiwa imported from west Assam to upper Assam . N in tai language lalung means migrants from west. So tiwa from upper Assam are called lalung n tiwa who stayed in middle Assam remain tiwa. I'm not sure about it. But ahom history books never mentioned them as tiwa it was always mentioned them as lalung

I will Suggest you kindly go with the Same community people's opinion, Because Other community's like Ahoms & Koch they were advanced and accurate in their own Literature & history.. But their opinion and accuracy regarding other communities many not be accurate.
Please follow and uplift the Ground reality.
We the mainland Tribals of Assam belongs to Kachari Groups, now have a unique & Seperate official names you already mentioned above.
So we request you don't get confused.
We Are Tiwas and other communities called us Lalung that's it.
But Officially we are Tiwas now.
Ahom comes later in Assam, and started preserving the history of Assam. Their Own Ahom history may be accurate. But others community history is not 100% accurate because of communication problem & lack of information of that time.
