Awesome grinder. Have one on my wish list for this year. Please get a better grinds cup though 😉

Thanks for showing the operation. I’m due to get mine in February according to Denis. Are there any idiosyncrasies to be aware of to make the dial in process shorter and easier?

Thanks for sharing. Is this the standard portafilter holder now on the MC6? Looks different than what I've seen previously.

what was your rpm? do you find retention varies with grind speed?

For accurate retention measurement you should grind 10-20 times, maybe even more to get higher accuracy. Open the grinder, completely clean it, weigh it. Impossible to know after just 1 round of grinding.

I get you. This wasnt intended as a scientific experiment, just as a real daily use example. No need to take it apart really with those types of tolerances

Meanwhile on my Kitchenaid KCG8433ER grinder I have .1 or ZERO grams of retention. Also grinds for a pot of coffee too.
Yours however I'm 99.9% aure will last longer than mine. Guarantee it.

That's about as much retention I have on my MC5 when I use the puff. I was going to get that thwacking thing but probably not now. I do want the grind size ring though.

Yeah that is the right prioritization. Its an awesome grinder with out-of-this-world tolerances, so retention is very low either way
