@@WorldwideRealityVideos They didn't "get rid" of it. It was wrecked by a landslide and was too expensive to bring it back to D1 specifications. It's being turned into a gravel circuit because it's less expensive to maintain and according to the owner Nobushige Kumakubo, most likely the only way to keep the circuit open at all.

Exactly. Only enter the racing line at race pace. Total bone head move on their part. He had the whole exit lane of pit. Why not use it. Must have been a diversity hire.
And I wonder what the point of the waved yellow flag was, noone paid much attention to it
@@garyrowe58 I can only assume the yellows came out really late. Because at any normal motor race you'd like to think it wouldn't matter what line the safety car is on. As everyone should have already slowed right down because it's on track
@@Fordmister it could be, either way it looked like the marshal at the main straight waved the yellow flag way before they passed him, and i think the safety car that was waiting was informed that the leader is coming and should get on the racing line and wait for them to catch up but wasnt expecting them to be coming that fast
Not just that he didn't follow the pit exit, and drove straight into the middle of the raceway

Seeing real WTCC clips is so surreal for me, I spent hundreds of hours during my childhood driving those cars in RACE 07 that I forget those things raced for real. I wish I could own one, that would be a dream come true.
Race 07 was the sim that rekindled/ really started my time on sims. Pretty good low spec cheap sim.

@@jamiedavinci1328 last lap of the final race. whoever finished first between the two of them won the world championship. it all happened because of a driver crashing like 5 laps before the end and a safety car was depployed. Max (redbull) needed a miracle to win and it happened, was such an amazing race

@@jamiedavinci1328 To add some more context, Max in the Redbull was on new or practically new softs, whereas Lewis in the Mercedes was on 40 odd lap old hards. The pace difference between the two was probably 2-3 seconds a lap, and there is no defending that at Abu Dhabi, especially when your rival goes for a divebomb that would have won him the championship crash or not.

Those TT racers have bigger nerves of steel than any other motorsport profession imo. I do like F1 better, but those guys always impress me enormously

The TT is absolutely mega to see in person. The riders are out of their damn minds, but very friendly to chat with.

Group B was banned before it started after a handful of accidents resulted in some deaths.
Isle of Man TT has over 100years of racing history and is known for its persistence despite the consistent deaths annually, 267 racers, 5 officials and atleast 6 spectators have died
The mindset of Isle of Man riders is truly something else. The perfect example of this holds the current lap record, Michael Dunlop.
His brother, Father and Uncle literally all died competing in the sport (but not at Isle of Man TT) , Michael is still breaking records in 2023 and probably plans to until he dies doing it.

My favorite part of her Road America crash is where she laughs it off in her interview after and just says she's bummed that her bruises won't look flattering in a dress at the banquet that night. Love her, what a racer

The first race where the rally car goes wide and holds everyone back is epic. He dictated everyone else's moves which is some Art of War type of stuff.
Man you can see those bikes and riders take some ridiculous G's on the downhill turn section after catching air going close to 200mph.... insane.
Pat Long what a great driver. Used to watch him racing 911s at Long Beach and Laguna Seca so focused!
