- This is a take off S7170 on the 319 Newton Exch at Scottsdale Exch and this was recorded on December 2nd 2014. These buses are slated to be retired by early next year.
Edit: This bus was retired on December 13th, 2014.

Great video of the D40LF takeoff with the engine cooling fan on. Sad to see that these buses are approaching the end of the road. These buses on the road nearly 20 years; New Flyer's 1st Generation Low Floor (LF series) sure were great quality buses from the 90's.
@seClip9: Yea, the whistle is pretty loud on the outside but when you're riding it, it's not as loud :/ I know, I'm guarantee this bus will be placed on the chopping block along with many other buses as well ( all the 1995's and many 1996's ). Yea, these buses are much more better than some of the newer buses we got, such as those XD40's or Novabus LFS's.

Oh man that sounded fantastic! Dang, it's as dirty as a Muni bus (and that's really dirty). XD
TheCRTman It was, I wasn't expecting the whistle on the bus so I recorded it. Its probably the best sounding remaining bus out there, ATM. You got that whistle, weird exhaust sound, loud engine, rattling door bars, rattling everything, and it leaks inside when it rains outside. I'm going to guess its the engine that's dirty.
Ninja Bus Fan Yeah I wasn't expecting that either. So pretty much they are just as old an clunky as Muni's NABI's, yet still more reliable. The engine is dirty?
TheCRTman I think I might upload a recording of this bus and you can see how messed up it is. Wait, this is more reliable than your NABI's ? I dunno, I didn't quite get by what you meant by dirty.
Ninja Bus Fan Awesome. :P Sorry, I meant it is just as old and clunky as Muni's NABI's, but still more reliable than newer buses, just like how Muni's NABI's have always been better than the Neoplans. I meant the bus has dirt all over it like Muni's buses.
