    Our January game shooting bonanza continues. This week we’re back up in Yorkshire, as presenter Pete leads a team of guns out at Burton Agnes estate, overseen by the legendary David Nesfield. In fact, it's a Carr double, as Shaun Carr joins the guns and brings his classic side-by-side, both brothers stoking up their guns with Eley cartridges. Let's see how the boys fare on these challenging January birds…

    i dont understand the need to shoot woodcock on a lowland shoot when they are are a migratory bird which are in decline,especially when it is shown on a video sponsored by BASC.It shows when they were not even mentioned in the bag.

    would love to see a section of an episode go towards the preparing, marketing or selling of game meat shot especially in this hard time when pheasants are worth nothing to game dealers

    Yup shot the bird right over his head! If you did that on my old syndicate you would be in trouble because we dished out rough justice! Guns to left and right of you would take your birds before you could shoot them ... message gets home fast 😆😆😆

    Can someone explain how these game drives works to an American. All of our upland birds are hunted over pointers or are walked up with a flushing lab.

    • @HJDore
      @HJDore Před 5 lety +1

      A group of people called beaters along with the keepers will be dropped off at certain points and push birds across fields and woodland with flags and dogs then flushing the birds to the line of guns. After the drive is complete the beaters will get on the beaters wagon and drive to the next drive and repeat. Most estates put on 150, 200 or 300 bird days spread across 10 guns.

      24” upwards, shouldn’t think anyone would use any gun with barrels more than 28” on a game shoot.

    This is not a complaint but when you do your voiceover I would recommend that you do it somewhere a little less echoey as I can really notice it throughout the video. Other than that great quality content keep it up

    Those guns are far to close to one another on drive 1. Extremely unsafe.

      Jesus it’s something that we as human beings have done for centuries and it’s what brings money into the rural communities so that our countryside can be managed and looks the way it does. Why not shoot animals that have lead a totally free range lifestyle and enjoy the taste they have rather than the intensively reared meat that most British people love buying when it’s from other countries. Not being rude but the best thing for all you anti’s and vegans is but your time and effort into something much more while, like helping less fortunate people in your town or cities rather driving round the countryside looking to course trouble on livestock farms and game shoots.
