Jenny, So many people expect CZcams content creators to which they subscribe to provide us with constant ongoing (FREE) projects and we often forget that they have lives and struggles and families and things happening outside of their craft rooms. We need to be kinder and more tolerant and understanding when they are going through some things and wish them well until they are able to come back with their usual awesome project videos. Take care...

Jenny...I feel for you! I am an old granny, and I love your videos. Please try to relax more and do what makes you happy more. As an older woman who worked for 50 years outside my home, while raising my son, participating in church and school activities, keeping a marriage together, trying to provide the most and best for every single one of these...I can tell you that the kids and family stress will only last for a few years and then hopefully you will get your life back. Hang in there, sweetie, and enjoy yourself more. And we just want you for YOU! Be yourself. You are enough! Love you!

Hi Jenny, I started watching your video and thought this isn’t for me and nearly switched it off. But I’ve been following you for some time now and so glad I stayed with you. I honestly can relate to everything you’ve said. Some people just can’t say anything nice about anyone, so please don’t take these people to heart. If the same people keep leaving negative comments then just block them. They aren’t worth having on your channel and causing you unnecessary stress. I’ve stopped follow those that promote suppliers with all the free stuff sent to them. I love those U Tubers who have a use what you have attitude. Re your tutorials and noise in your house, maybe try and find a time that fits in with the family, whereby you do your crafting at that same time each day/week whatever and the boys know to find something quiet to do. It then becomes routine and they can respect “your time”. Sending hugs from Australia. Take care of you. Keep up your lovely crafting. ❤

I have been feeling something similar. I have so much old stuff, plus I bought so much new stuff when it was on sale. It is all sitting unused. Guilt and feeling overwhelmed (plus a little burnout from holidays), have me not even creating at all. Sadly, I could probably make something every day, and never use up what I have (I also know I am very blessed). I think I'm going on a buying freeze. I'm going to organize what I have, and just try to make one pretty thing, and hoping that leads into another. p.s. I agree with you on the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything al all". Keep your chin up!

Thanks for sharing. I struggle with mental and physical health issues too. I was never a crafter because of perfectionism. I’m 55. About a year ago I saw a paper crafting video on YT and was hooked. Totally wasn’t expecting it. Haha. I had to give myself permission to make mistakes which was hard. Paper crafting has been a life saver for me as it keeps my mind busy. It’s crazy to see how ppl will make harsh comments online that they would never actually say in person. I’ve posted things that didn’t come across as I intended and felt terrible afterwards. We all need to THINK and be KIND. Often times ppl will say “let it go” or “be happy” but it’s not easy for us with depression and anxiety. We over analyze everything. My sister once told me that my grammar was terrible. It was so hurtful. I have low self esteem from childhood abuse. I’m also a highly sensitive person. So I’m pretty much a recluse at this point. I applaud you for putting yourself out here in the public domain and doing what you love (in spite of the rude comments.) Thanks for the wonderful ideas and inspiration! We appreciate your work!

Hi Jenny, I am so happy you are here! Yes, we missed you, and hope you can find the peace, and health you need. I have since retired from my job, and had some issues from procrastination, eating problems, anxiety, stomach pain, etc., I changed the way I eat...kicked all my carb addiction, veggies, junk food to the door, I am now a "Carnivore"...I eat only meat, and I feel 100% better! I will never go back to eating the way I was before, as I was a Cook and had packed on 40lbs.of weight, I have since lost 30lbs! I have been eating this way for 4 months. Hugs to you, and happy crafting! ❤😊

As a person with mental health issues, I can relate to you. I am in enforced retirement because of my health. I am happy that you are NOT working with Temu anymore. You exhausted me just listening to your long list of obligations from work, family, YT'ing, moving, taking care of your mother and more! I find crafting and creating to be a big stress reliever, too, though my stress is so much less. I don't give advice to others, but do share what I've learned, like saying "no" instead of "when do you need it?"; dropping things that make me feel less than worthy, like being unable to keep up with all the latest and greatest trends and feel the pressure to buy, buy, buy; trying to let go of my debilitating tendency toward perfection and instead realize that even my failures make for worthwhile learning; not getting enmeshed in too much social media. I think all crafters have fallen into that rabbit hole of needing what's new on the market but, honestly, how many paper trimmers do I need??? I slip up now and then but then make a concerted effort to actually use the products (not always successful there, either).😆 I don't watch YT'ers who are strictly hawking a product line. I've weeded out many, but still follow some who are product-specific, but I drop them if they don't encourage me to use what I have or show me ideas that can be used with other things I have. I find haul videos boring and I'm sure that's saved me a lot. A lot of viewers forget that content creators don't really owe us anything since we're getting the content for free and taking advantage of their creativity and generosity. The amount of work that goes into putting out a video is something we non-content creators can never fully grasp. Remember your 28+K subscribers are here watching because we value YOU and all you do. Thanks for all of it!

I’m with you, Jenny! I resolved last year to shop my stash first- both craft supplies and fabrics- before going outside to buy. We’re both on Social Security and even just to feed the two of us and our pup is outrageous! So far, I’ve managed to only replace cardstock and glues with a few stamps and dies to fill in ( new paper crafter here) but absolutely no new fabric for 2 years now. I’ve made/finished 30 quilts! You do you! We are looking for techniques and ideas- those you provide. Be well and enjoy your family and the therapy that crafting can provide. Join us when you can.

Jenny, we all have something to deal with and it is hard, really hard. My 85 yr old Mum fell on 11 Nov and broke her right knee, plate and screws, but then she ended at the worst rehap stepdown ever, back to hospital then on 27 Dec sent to another Rehab stepdown and this past Friday discharged lost approximately 30 kg, and it's a long road ahead to get her back to normal as can be - so honestly the past 2 months had been the worst ever - it did put things in perspective and I'm no longer prepared to take aboard anyone's attitudes. My subscriptions on youtube had helped me cope with a horrible period and whatever is uploaded however long and short is always appreciated.❤❤

Jenny thank u so very much 4 opening up your heart 2 all of us. U didn't have 2. It does give me ways of how I can pray 4 u & your family. I know this was not a easy video 2 do.
U take care of u. Take some time 2 just craft 4 u. Don't worry about doing a video 4 us if u don't want 2 & or feel like it. If u want 2 craft just 4 the therapy of crafting, do it. I don't think I have thought of crafting as being therapeutic until during the last year (2023). My husband had a heart attack on 1/18/2023 & a stroke on 1/20/2023. I have found this past year that crafting has been so therapeutic & an outlet 4 me.
    We will b here when u r able 2 do a video.
I also understand about helping out family as well. I help my mother in law & aunt with rides 2 the doctors appointments & getting their groceries, medications, picking them up 4 church ,etc.
Have a great night sleep & rest.

Jenny, I really enjoyed your chat! So many things you said rang true in my thinking and in my life. I completely agree about consumerism. I started 2024 with a no or low spend goal. I have plenty of craft supplies and I am determined to use them. That's where creativity comes in - using what we have. I feel the same about Temu - I haven't ever ordered from them because of how they rip off other companies' products. I am a teacher and that is called cheating and stealing in my world! I am so very sorry you have been sick with diverticulitis - it is so very, very painful! My son-in-law had it so bad and even went into the hospital with it perforated. He found out that eating beef caused his to flare. Praying you find answers and solutions! You do what you can on CZcams and when you can because as you said, your family is the most important thing in the world! So many of these CZcamsrs don't have a demanding, full-time job and family. Thanks for sharing your heart! Sending love and prayers!

Thanks, Jenny, for sharing your journey - you have lots on your plate! have been a people pleaser most of my life because I didn’t have any boundaries. It is not your job to make others happy as that is an individual’s responsibility. Of course, we want our kids to be happy but adults have to do their own “work”. I’m sure it feels heavy to have such a busy life when you have real health issues. Be kind to yourself first by learning to do what you really enjoy doing. You need some alone time so please don’t feel like you have to record if you don’t feel like it. So take care of Jenny first! You have amazing videos so lots for us to watch - even more than once! Please dont feel you have to explain yourself. All I feel you have to say is some personal stuff has cropped up.

Jenny, dear, sweet Jenny, it was very brave of you to post such a personal video. I am so sorry that you have been under such pressure, even to the point of causing physical pain as well as emotional stress. I hear you; I listened to every word. Hopefully you will find time to do something KIND for yourself every day, something that makes YOU happy. You are worth so much more that you give yourself credit.

Have just found you and am so glad you chose to share your struggles. Anyone who can not relate is in denial. Life can get really hard and the last thing you need is other peoples judgement. I am at the other end as I am hoping to retire in the next year or so. What changes is not the nay sayers, but your reaction to them. You are not alone. Keep doing what you do and thank you for teaching us along the way!😊

I would love to see a series about an Idea Book. It's because of your Chop it Up series that I got brave enough to start cutting up my beautiful paper collections that I was afraid of ruining.
l've been thinking about doing something like an Idea Book, too. Right now, I just take pics of everything I make & keep them in folders on my phone. I've started making templates of my favorites & write all the dimensions & instructions right on the card or project. I have only just started but it's already helped when I need to make something specific & I don't know where to start.

I had low b12 and have iron deficiency and also have PTSD, depression, and anxiety along with chronic pain. Having those vital nutrients low no one really understands how tired it leaves you. I always thought my chronic pain was causing my exhaustion which it does to agree. While it was at it’s lowest I had no drive to do my crafts. All, I could do was watch your videos along with others and granted I’d fall asleep through some of them but luckily CZcams remembers my history. 😂 I’m turning a corner a bit with my deficiencies so I’m getting back to my groove.
Don’t worry about your grammar either. I used to write a lot and I wouldn’t focus on my grammar and spelling while I write because I’d lose that spark but once it was done I’d look for errors.
Keep up the great work and thanks for your candor.

Jenny I have watched you for years. Love your gentle soul. We are all addicted to craft supplies. We all need to shop our own supplies. It would be great for you to help all of us use our craft stuff.
On another note a lot of us have mental health issues and suffer from anxiety. You are not alone I am sorry about your diverticulitis that is very awful my girlfriend suffers with that. Your pocket holder was super cute and will work great in junk journals. Jenny you do you, you do what you can do and we will enjoy when you can jump on and show us something crafty.💜💜💜

Hugs. I am finding a lovely of youtube channel people are so stressed. In a few weeks alone, i must have heard of at least 10 people really struggling and disappearing for a few months. Life happens. I hate to think people stressing themselves out of control. You have a lot going on. Doing your videos should almost be a treat not a weighty duty. Please do not let youtube add to your stress. I agree so much with all the new tools. I see it i want it. This week i put a serious ceiling on my spending. Lots of stress my friend. Money and time are restricted. Love your channel and your lrojects. Take care of yourself.

Hi Jenny. I am so sorry to hear of your struggles. Also, so sorry to hear that you have been dealing with negative commenters. I truly believe there is something seriously lacking in their upbringing!!! For the most part, I truly admire the talents of youtubers and can honestly say I have learned so much. On the other hand, I have also encountered videos that once I started viewing I knew it wasn't for me. So I just shut it down and moved on cuz I'm pretty sure no youtuber sets out to waste their time on a video that they think is not helpful. OK, I know, get off my soapbox! I just really can't stand negative and nasty commenters and have replied to many of them myself telling them I did not appreciate their comments.
Anyway, thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us and show us so many helpful projects. MOST of us do truly appreciate you. 🇨🇦😊❤

You speak of the Golden Rule-treat others as you would like other's to treat you. That is a cute little booklet of pockets. I feel just like you in shopping my stash but also weeding out. I have too much. I have given in to the want monster many too times. I have premium CZcams to avoid the commercials/ads and avoid watching haul videos for the most part.

I really enjoy the videos where you use your stash. I have so much I have not used, partly because I have been sick and partly because of my addiction! You have lots of ephemera … I think it would be interesting to start with some ephemera and then build the card from there like a backward process. ❤️🇨🇦

I agree about Temu. I shopped there twice, and it is definitely tempting.
But then came all the spying allegations with their app.
And soon after, a CZcamsr advised her viewers that Temu used her name in an ad without her permission (Prepper Princess. It's in her Community Posts, about 5 months back at this point).
And THEN I became aware of them stealing designs, violating copyright.
They don't deserve anyone's business imo. Shady as hell.

Dear Jenny. Please try and take time out for yourself. It doesn't matter if you use the wrong word or spelling in what you do, your videos are entertaining and informative. I alway tell my children do something for themselves every day even if its taking a little break to have a cup of tea or coffee or to just sit and listen to the birds or sounds around you. Again like i said in my last message be kind to yourself.
With very best wishes to you. Take care.
