    Me encantan este tipo de proyectos...me gusta este tipo de carros y antiguos también...es una gran labor ya k por algunos modelos cuesta mucho conseguir algunas piezas .. gracias.

    Would love to build a KITT with a Chrysler Turbo engine and the guts of a Tesla, imagine having the autodrive button actually autodrive? Stick in an Alexa or Siri and wear a linked smart watch and you'll possibly have a car closer to the concept of KITT than an original screen used car ever could, bullet proof body, windows and run flats are optional unless you plan to fight crime and be the one man to make a difference, being a crimefighter not advised.

    Sensacional!!! 👏👏👏

    Hey Sam it was not a easy one hour job you have to take off the two door panels of to get to some screws holding the top part of the ground effect same for the rear part need to get acces to the screws they r rusty but not impossible to do it took me prob 45min to take off front and rear the side r a tuff ones cuz you need to grind off the rivets. And the acces sucks but if you know how to turn a screw driver and drill holes it's not bad feel free to ask for more tips message me thanks Dave welcome to the Knight Rider family 😎

  • @BassShoter
    @BassShoter  Před 7 lety +3

    It's the soundtrack from the tv show Knight Rider simply CZcams it and u will see all of them👍🏻😎

    How did you get rid of the rust areas also I have a nice rust hole near the spare tire. Did you sand the whole car too?

    • @BassShoter
      @BassShoter  Před 3 lety +1

      yeah i did sand it down to the metal used paint stripper in a spray can but be carefull take the TTops down it will damage them i learned the hard way!
      if it comes to rust holes i found more by the driver side door under the carpet had to cut it out and weld it up i fixed it first with fiber glass and bondo temporarily lasted two years till i grinded it all off and welded it solid its best to weld it up but if you got no monay at first bondo and fiberglass will hold few years cheers

  • @SaGoeProductions
    @SaGoeProductions Před 8 lety +1

    I myself am starting a conversion. Very interesting to see and I'm glad I did check the spare tire spot. I'm really curious how the nose is going to turn out. At this point it still looked very disappointing... Good luck!

  • @Sky-ee1bf
    @Sky-ee1bf Před 2 lety +1

    That 90/91 bumper nose thing was ugly. I still don't get why anyone would take a fairly decent looking car, and turn it into a Kitt replica. The black hubcaps alone make the car look like an original VW beetle.

  • @josephferraro4925
    @josephferraro4925 Před 4 lety +1

    I am also using a 91 trans am for my replica. How did you get the metal bracket off for your ground effect along the door rocker panel.
    I ended up drilling where tac welds were and using body filler. Just wondering if you had a different approach.

    • @BassShoter
      @BassShoter  Před 4 lety +2

      sry for late reply umm i alao drilled them out and bondo over it it only lasted about two years untill it started poping off now i sanded it down to metal and welded it right up than grinded it flash and bondo it smoth tip be aware of heat bulding up doring welding worping and banding the doors tough to fix but durable take your time and cool off the foors good luck brothaa!

  • @sam17101
    @sam17101 Před 7 lety +1

    I noticed you used a 91 or 92 Pontiac firebird. How hard was it to take off the factory ground effects molding that was on the door and on the bottom of the car? I am using the same model for my own Knight Rider project and that molding has me a little worried. Is it glued on, bolted in, clipped on, what?

    • @BassShoter
      @BassShoter  Před 4 lety +1

      its tag welded drill it out but you will need to weld the holes back close and bondo it smoth if you think just to bondo it it works but only for about two years until it pops off

  • @dominating_reality
    @dominating_reality Před 4 lety +1

    How did you fill the ground effect holes I have to do the same

    • @BassShoter
      @BassShoter  Před 4 lety +1

      I had to weld them all up as filler will fall of with time i cut 1x1 inch squers dented the holes more in so its flush with the body i also used old fenders as metal for the patches easy to do but will take a day
      Also dont weld longer than 1.5 sec each time take 2 sec brakes otherwise you will burn through the metall making holes in it haha let me know how it goes cheers!!!

    When you remove slam panel bracket that sits kind of where scanner goes where did you re mount the rubber stops gor hood that are on that bracket

    • @BassShoter
      @BassShoter  Před 4 lety +1

      Not to sure if i u derstand the part where the scanner sits on stays
      U do have to remove the mounting bracket holding the old bumper i simply.removed it also you may have to bend down a bit up to u

      get the car thhe closer you get to the build 82/84 the cheaper its to build it the 89/92 models r more expensive to build but you get a better platform possibly less rust but you need to swap rear bumper spoiler tailights ground effect delete and interior center console and door panels swap it means simy a lor more $$$$ also try to get the min of 305 5.0 V8 engine not the crappy V6 cheers!!!

      Currently KITT needs Bonny he shut down on me a no crank situation similar to the Vats problem GM cars have
      Soon will make new videos of fixing this problem and part 3 on the nose job👍🏻😎

      Where you from? Some people told me about it it may be the solution it’s really wierd what’s happening with Kitt even after resistors in place no difference I will try to dig to the vats computer and see if there is like a relay or fuse to it last chance heh thanks dude👍🏻😎
