- We had a very fun excursion planned for our evening in Aruba...but we totally goofed up and missed the boat! We still had a great evening on Momba beach!
This Sancy cruise was back in 2021, so there might be a mask or two...

Hi Nancy, thank you for uploading an old video from 2021 to help educate the Cruising Community that "Checking the LOCAL TIME in your Port of Call is so important!! Because it MAY BE DIFFERENT THAN YOUR SHIP TIME!! I recently saw another Cruise video in Mahagony Bay, Honduras, where a large group of people went to Infinity Bay Resort for the day. LOCAL TIME WAS 2 HOURS LATER THAN SHIP TIME!! This meant that the people were not served lunch until 12:00 noon LOCAL TIME but it was already 2:00 pm SHIP TIME!! Impacting the remaining time they had to enjoy and GET BACK TO THE SHIP!! Thank you. 😎👍

I'd hate to have a mix-up where we missed the back on board time - that would absolutely be so much worse than missing an excursion. Daylight savings time always messes a little with my calculation on ship time versus island time. Much love

I’ll be in Aruba next month. Can’t wait! Dang, I always am stressed about time difference at certain ports. I try to make sure my phone won’t automatically update the times.

This goof up was totally because we booked the excursion that was on island time and we were staying on ship time. Those time changes are tricky when you book off-cruise line excursions! I'd like to try it again another time tho!! Much love Edna!

Another great video of the Sancy in Aruba, we took a tour of the island which ended up:at the beach, the island is beautiful and there is a lot to see, going back in January!

Great question and hello sweet friend! The Taxi was probably around $12. Nowadays the bus costs $5 for 2 trips and taxis cost between $15-20 each way.
