- The brand new Empire Pro HRD hydraulic road groupset from Sensah.
Sensah are a Chinese company known for producing some great value groupsets, but this is their first one that offers hydraulic braking.
I will be getting it installed on my carbon road bike very soon, so get subscribed to see the full install and rundown! - Sport
Sensah, LT-Woo and Microshift please continue the good work otherwise we will be stuck with overpriced groupsets.
I thought microshift only was mountain bike style
Totally agree
Yesss. More affordable hydraulic groupset! 🥖
Sensah is doing gods work once again. Just waiting on them to release a electronic gruppo now
Sameee
A thourough shakedown by the legend himself! Development @sensah really makes a big leap ahead with that step!!
Seven baguettes for that... 🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖🥖
Now this video I've been waiting for for a good long while already!!
Hope the rubber quality improved
Ooooooh! Exciting!
Good work Luke!
Yes... Can't wait for the review
Well done on grabbing these! They’re not even available in china yet. I wonder if they will follow with a team pro hydraulic….
I hope they would release a version that has the same pull ratio on shimano that would be a game changer
Great news. Make a review about it!
I wish they'd do it in 11 speed, I've heard people complaining about 12 speed shifting with those, I'm afraid they might have trouble hitting the tolerances needed for smooth 12 speed shifting at that price point (same issue with ltwoo). 11 speed is a bit easier on that and if you're goin 2x you won't notice any difference
You can use them for 11 speed as the distance the shifting cable is pulled per gear is identical.
From 9 speed up to 12 speed 🤙
@@domestique3954 Pull ratio might be the same, but the distance between cogs on a 9, 10/11, and 12 speed cassette is different.
The rim brifters looked pretty smart, these hydraulic ones look kinda goofy.
Hope they perform well though
Just brought the 11 speed version, more than enough range for autumn riding and it’s all black, which IMHO is nicer than the silver flare on the 12 speed shifters.. 😊
Awesome !!!! Mineral oil as well ?
That would be great to use with my Shimano post mount calipers for an older bike !!!
(I don’t like the campy style button on the ltwoo, so nice to see sensah joining the hydro wagon) hope they release an 11 speed as well !!
Oooo exciting!
Nice,looks solid.💯👌🏻
Yay, cant wait to see the full review. Talking about hydraulic disc brakes, have u tested the Zrace BR005 ?
would be nice to see if the calipers have the same bleed issue as the green ones you installed a while back.
hell yeah
Ooh. I might switch out my sensah quantum setup for this hydrolic groupset.
Finally!!
Do u know if it will be available also for 11v speed?
I hope the price isn't too crazy, Shimano 10 spd grx shifters can be had pretty cheaply these days. I also hope these shifters push ltwoo a little harder to further refine their product
Hope they get their FD fixed. Else, I wish 105 fd still works with them.
is there already an expected price for it?
is the caliper compatible with shimano calipers?
Ah man wish i hadnt got the ltwoo now. I much prefer the shape of the sensah shifters
Ohhh yeah (macho man)
Interesting
These are 105 R5700 shifters lol
Hope they are compatible with the long range (50t) derraileur
Those look like my older Shimano mechanical hydraulic levers. I think they are the rs 685 ?? Calipers look sharp too
Can you make vid for 2x10-12 system with a 50t casette?
I like the Sensah shifting more than L-TWOO but that hoods man. It scares me 😬
I could not find them in aliexpress, is it pre-release sample?
I want silmilarly new chinese groupsets for mountain bikes...
There's l-twoo 12speed for mountain bikes
Some of the MicroShift options are worth looking at too (they're based in Taiwan but also manufacturing out of both Taiwan and China)
Will there be an 11 speed version?
12 speed is really not that good as mechanical, thus I have the same question
@@DanikoLP I wonder how it works perfectly on any MTB tho
@@maxpetification Talking specifically about the Sensah 12spd road groupset. Most of the reviewers recommend going for the 11 spd version, because of the technical limitations.
@@DanikoLP I know, but I wonder why they can’t get it right, same for Ltwoo apparently
@@maxpetificationits because the tolerances are too tight for them to get it reliably. 12 speed mech shifts are harder to get right as the sprockets are very close to each other. Electronic shifting does this easy cause of very very precise movement and adjustments when tuning with the app.
And now they must make a 3x10 system and I buy it😅
Why i can't see them on their Aliexpress Store ?
Hi do you know if sensah srx pro hydraulic or not? I want to know
I'm glad I'm going sram red, don't like the push lever to side like shimano
Tbh they look cheap
What's the price ?
I would be nice to know how you can improve an olde racing bike (eg 10 or 9 Speed with Caliper Brakes) with chinese 12 speed Groupset. I have trouble to find a 12 speed cassettte that fits on a 9Speed 130mm Hub.
12s MTB cassette would fit, but the smallest you can find is probably 11-36
@@hkchew03 MTB Cassettes are fitting. But the steps between the gears at the smaller sprockets are too big for Roadbikes. smallest MTB Cassette i know is 11-42. Ich have an 11-36(11sp) RoadCassette that was machined to fit 8/9/10 speed freehubs.
@@RazzFazz-Race Yes, your right, smallest for 12s should be 11-42, remember wrongly. Why not just upgrade your rear wheel to 11s hub? or simply stay with 11s with 11-36.
@@hkchew03 Remember: I asked for 9sp 130mm ( for all people with old bikes). Upgrading the hub is mostly not possible, you need a new Wheel. I am searching for a solution out of stock which doesnt cost a fortune. the special cassette which i mentioned above is on an other bike. It should show only the way of managing the Problem.
@@RazzFazz-Race I said upgrade the wheel, I didn't say change the hub. There are many 11s wheel that ain't that expensive. What you asking is just impossible, and you already know it yourself. U are already paying small premium for a 12s over a 11s.
❤🥖
That will be 1000$
🥖👍
That looks like a shimano ST-R785 shifter of old married to a sensah shifter assembly. Not the prettiest thing. Well the L-twoo generally looks a lot cleaner than this. Especially graphics wise, the red and white seems a bit outdated to me.
Sounds great, but why do they always have to look like strait out of a 99 Cent Only Store? There is no need for such a design. Just keep it stealthy looking and more people would buy it.
Meh, 12 Speed is not that good for mechanical setup. Would be nice to see them released for 11spd as hydro. 12 speed seems to be very hard to setup since tolerances are way lower and electronic shifter can accomidate for this with their microadjustments.
Haven't seem anybody recommending 12spd mechanical over the 11spd group. That's why I would always go 11spd as mechanical.
The tolerances are identical as the distance the shifting cable is pulled is the same for 9-10-11-12 speed-only the chain gets more narrow
@@domestique3954 The cable pull is not the problem. It‘s the chain and sprockets that are the problem, the sprockets get narrower, the chain is narrower and therefore micro adjustments like on eTap/Di2 are more necessary, otherwise rubbing/false indexing.
looks cool but their logos look so bad
Still not sure about hydro on a road bike
