Here in the Hudson Valley of New York State, USA. Hotter than hell up here. Sticking to my MD50. Missed the live version so I waited until the chaos at home died down to groove upon this essential (and much-needed) lesson. So nice.
I'm a club member catching the replay. This system is really cool. It's kind of shocking how quickly you can hop from learning the basic shapes to truly improvising with them. Then picking up the shapes for each new song amplifies what you've already learned. It's fun!
@@bruteflorist nice one so glad it’s working for you and see you on the club!
Hi Robin, I'm watching from China. New to Gipsy Jazz. Have been playing flamenco for 30 years... on a flamenco guitar.
Gipsy sound also works on nylon strings! Thanks for your lessons!
wow nice one yes Gypsy Jazz sounds beautiful on nylon strings. There's quite a few tunes that have that spanish vibe too like 'Made For Wesley' Bossa Dorado' stay inspired!
From Southern California. Sorry I missed it live. I use solid body electrics with super light strings because of hand issues I developed a long time ago playing classical guitar with too high action. I also don't use a pick, Weird thing is that when I jammed with some people they said my solo's sounded Gypsy influenced. What's even weirder than that is that I was adopted and when I found my birth family I found out my great grandfather was a Romani Gypsy.
@@BeachJazzMusic amazing man stay inspired and thanks for the comment! 🎸🙌❤️
Watching from Eswatini.
@@GypsyJazzSecrets - I've been in touch with you before when I worked in Macau. You told me you'd spent time in Hong Kong. I've followed you since before 2010 - learnt a lot but still cannot play Gypsy.
Seriously gonna try this course.
Wales UK
I too am watching from Wales, UK. Wow you’re coming to Wales! I will watch for details. I love your videos but I play the baritone ukulele. 😁🥂
@@julieannwilliams9134 nice one and love the sound of a baritone uke! Here’s the Wales gig www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/barry/cubanas-live-music-venue/robin-nolan-trio/e-vljdlx
From California. I play a Martin PA4 GPCR. I do Western-Flavored Country Music and really enjoy adding a bit of Gypsy and Cantina flavors in my music. Thanks so much for giving me some ideas and some ornimants to hang in my fills and solos.
@@we7438 nice one love the fusion! Stay inspired!
