One of my favorites to play on my radio shows. Pure perfection in any language.
This song is sung in multiple languages which include French, Swiss German, Gaulish, Italian, Romansh and Russian. In 2016, this band split in two, 3 members went onto create a band called Cellar Darling. A different singer sings this song in Russian than the one in the video. Every now and then I listen to the french version - L'Appel des Montagnes
One of the best songs I've ever heard to be quite honest.
You should react to their song A Rose For Epona or their song Rebirth next.
Yes definitely go for rebirth or rose for epona next.
Yessss!
The mountain community has adopted this as their theme singe here in California in response to the Creek Fire
One of my top three bands so great to see you react to them. Yeah, this could be considered as one of their poppier songs but still great. I see Rebirth being recommended. I agree. But be prepared; it might melt your face off.
LOVE this band!!!! Coolest instrument in metal is the Hurdy Gurdy :) . Next try their song "Rebirth"
Speaking of bands with violins, check out Ne Obliviscaris' And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope. The song itself was added to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music curriculum. The song is just that complex!
Well, the band is from Switzerland. So I assume that these are the Alps and some other Swiss landscapes.
Oh and this is awesome never heard them before. Blue october had a bad ass violinist Ryan Delahoussay him and the lead singer Justin Furstenfeld went to high school together and formed BLUE OCTOBER a s the drummer is Justin's brother Jeremy and he learned the drums only because they needed a drummer and now he makes his own drums.
Pronounced El-Vay-Tee :)
El- Vay-Tee
I thought it was pronounced El-vee-tee but I'm sure someone will correct me. From Helvetica - an old name for Switzerland (not a font!).. They like their "unconventional" instruments! These guys performed with an Aussie girl, up and coming, Viktoria K (check her songs out?)
